Frank Root how much shorter is the team chassis that everyone is running? And i was not trying to be a a#$ about the 3.0, i just had the feeling with all the changes being made to the 2.0 that a new buggy would be out by this time next year. Also what are you guy gaining going from 4hole piston to the 2holes? just make it in simple terms front vs rear if it gives more steering less steering more traction less, i would assume its more responsive but has less rear bite.

New to racing buggy and have been looking at posted setups for the 22 2.0. I see positive toe (+) listed and want to be sure that is referring to "Toe Out"??? If so, are the listed numbers total toe out or is it toe per side?

Also, I have always know Left and Right to be from the back of the car. This is the case correct? The reason I ask is because I have a set of aluminum hubs and the ball mounts are offset and want to be sure that the offset is correct.

Yes, positive toe is also known as toe out.

And if you were a wee little guy sitting in the car like you were driving it, looking forward towards the front, the left is left and the right is right. So again, yes.

I got the bell cranks installed. Aside from tight posts it went good. Once, I got my toe set to the new geometry, my end points were the same on my mt4.

Doesn't positive toe produce the wheels to constantly generate force against one another making it more stable on straights...kinda like an F1 car?

Yes to a point. Yoo much and it becomes "grabby" and wonders down the straights. It also helps the turn in in corners...

Anyone tried the B5 offset cups w/ AE studs on the new cranks? The SCT 22 cups seem to be MIA here locally. I will need to order some and doubtful, I will have them by the weekend. The tie rods are getting into the springs pretty good without the offset cup in place. I have the AE cups and studs, just thought I would ask before I start modding after work.

I've done something similar this week. I broke one of camber links and the new ones wont be in before the weekend so I used the AE studs, ball cups and camber links from my b4.2. We'll see how it goes.

The B5 cups have a kinked/angled cup. For the same reason as TLR, to help the link clear the springs. I will try it tonight.

Guys, not sure about TLR's setup sheets, but when your talking positive toe on any other vehicle (that I know of) it is toe in. I have almost 40yr's in the auto repair business and every manufacture that I know of considers positive toe to be toe in.

You are correct! After reading your post I had to go back to make sure I had it right but I had it backwards. Positive toe is inward while Negative toe outward.

Yeah. Now that I start reading it, positive is in and negative is out.

Probably why most say toe in and toe out instead of positive and negative
