The first big change from the 80's was longer arms and a narrower chassis. Then they went to composite over alum chassis. Now we are at alum chassis again and using bigger shocks and longer chassis. The construction of the cars is miles better too. The nylon that the orig rc10 used was soft as butter. But i do agree, I think they are stuck moving forward in major ways. LIPO and brushless was the biggest change from 2000 to present. Not they just throw bling at us and we eat it up, lol.

Yeah, my xxt (first rc '95 era) was sooo similar to my xxxt-cr that recently got replaced by the 22t. Lipo and ac motors is what got me back into electric, that and the indoor tracks that opened up in so cal the last few years. It would be cool to see mini gas charged shocks, I'm sure it can be done now but the cost would be ridiculous. Now that electronics are "cutting edge" I can't wait to see how manufactures design these cars in the next 5-10years lol

That's kinda why I was surprised people were disappointed with the lack of a redesign, nothing has improved enough to call for a redesign.

The Team Car with its graphite chassis and stealth tranny looked pretty badass back in the day.

Hilarious, everyone had been freaking out for the past 2 days about what spot in line they are and when they will get theirs and now any one can jump online and buy one and have it at your doorstep to build this weekend
