Huzzah! Just got a call from my LHS, my buggy will be ready for pick-up tomorrow!

meh, blew up another set of bearing in the rear hubs. The avids did last longer though. I am seriously thinking about going to the plastic hubs. I just dont want my shocks to rub my links. Anyone running the plastic b44 hubs with lunsfords? How bad is the rubbing?

I run plastic b44 hubs on my b4. I run a thick plastic washer, I think .090, and no spacer up top with a shaved tower. Doesn't rub much at all. I see some, but it's due to b44 rear arm flexing.

Something is wrong. I have not blown a rear bearing in 2 years

Wildcat1971 01-31-2013 08:02 PM

Maybe. It is mostly the left hub

Tradin Paint 01-31-2013 08:12 PM

If you run 0 degree then I would say to just try the plastic and see what happens

Wildcat1971 01-31-2013 08:16 PM

Yeah. I plan to

Should have my B4.2's on Tuesday. My kid said Viper and I wanted to get him a Reedy, said screw it and got him what his heart desired. Told him we can drag down our driveway and see who wins! I'll post video next week if we actually get around to it.

still have a crush tube between the bearings? is it the same length as the right one? The transmission uses one also.. make sure you didn't mix em up if they're different lengths. Could also use a shim or two to make the crush tube seem longer to take pressure off the bearings. They're side loading and blowing out prematurely..I've never had one go bad

Does anyone have the part numbers for the new big bore shock towers or any idea on when they will be released?

Wild Cherry 02-01-2013 01:04 AM

crush tubes wear out

busted bearings can be caused by a worn out tube

downey ,
believe towers will be same part # and treated just as a running change
