considering the cost of getting the vehicle "upgraded" to a b4.2 from what you get in the b4.1, namely the big bores to be honest with you vito I would have him hold the money till he can get the b4.2 for you, and just pickup a b4.1 on the for sale area. it will probably be cheaper for you in the long run. heck, seen a b4.1 with the big bores and other upgrades go for about $135. Yo ucould then just use it as a parts car when the b4.2 comes in.

If any of your guys are going Avid and have a VTS slipper setup you don't want (must have the b44 spring) let me know, would be interested in buying it off of ya.

you mean the "high resolution" slipper spring, lol. Yeah, I need one for my kids sc10. the stock spring is too stiff. I have the nut flush and it still does not slip in her sc10

vito 01-22-2013 08:19 AM

yup, they are like unicorns right now.

Vito, it says at least on amain stock status estimate of 1/23 . so, lets assume places get them in a week or so, and you see it at your LHS in 2 weeks, how much is it worth it to you to wait that long on the b4.2? I guess to me at least based on the cost of upgrades to make a b4.1 WC into a b4.2 fully if thats what you want to do, i can wait. :)

i like to get a b4.2 kit but a main dont have layaway and the lhs dose i got 150 down and i get 30 a week do the math dont look good

Matt Trimmings 01-22-2013 08:34 AM

If you like spending money so much just get an rtr and upgrade it from there.

Are you serious? Lol

Look kid, the hobby shop is wasting your money. Either way you don't have the money right now. Sounds like to me you'll have to wait 3-4 weeks before you have the cash. So why not wait and buy the 4.2 then!!! Amain will have plenty of kits for you trust me. Your shop WILL be able to get the 4.2 just like everyone else.

Putting a 4.1 on layaway is dumb!! And will cost you more money, a lot more money to upgrade to a 4.2..... Just WAIT!!!

vito 01-22-2013 08:43 AM

thanks

+1 vito. Seriously man, the LHS knows that the value of that 4.1 will go down a lot in comparison to what they want to sell it to you for. I take it the $150 you put down was from your sc10 4x4 you sold right?

This is a good suggestion. Just wait man. After you buy the 4.1, you are still at a minimum 110.00 away from the "Good Upgrades". The money you save bu waiting will be better spent on tires and track time when you do have the car. I am assuming you are young and that 30.00 a week is allowance. Time to pick up some odd jobs man. Shovel snow, cut grass, clean out garages etc. I would not buy the 4.1 right now if you will not be completely happy with it. I would just wait it out and look for ways to add some income man. Sell some stuff on ebay, trade in some video games for cash, etc.
