I would use a smaller receiver to save weight. Yours is from 1968 I think..

I will, that's why I made a 3D print.
Shorty will fit direct, stick pack might be close, I think you'll have to add 2mm spacers under the shelf.

It's just an 3D drawing I downloaded and added my pieces.
Got the micro receiver from Spektrum, don't worry

I would look into maybe supplying the shims with the sale if its cheap enough. Buyers hate to have to shop for extras. I would want it to be able to get a full length pack under it. I think cav ran a wts in his right?

No shims needed. I just made a shelf from old servo box. Full size pack fits nicely.

Now you got it , no shims , just keep it short enough to be able to slide the pack in .
Have to tilt the pack up quite a bit and makes a tight fit .

I'll have to look for those shims.
Yes, Cav ran a full stick pack, I'll tell you Wednesday if the full pack fits or not.

yep, that is the same issue with the 22. The receiver and big esc's can make it a pain to get the pack in and out.

using wts with mine. i have to take the battery pad out to get mine to slide in, but once its in i can put the foam back in, using the old brace and 1mm spacers on both sides... 1mm = not sticker friendly, 2mm = sticker friendly

so i decided on buying the b4 instead of the b44 so ill learn how to drive better.

can you tell me what you think of my "shopping cart"?

gen2 8.5 motor and esc combo. (8.5 is good for the car?)
rpm 4-40 ball cups.
how much power do i need from the servo? cos the weaker it is the fastest.
and what do you say about this battery?

ho, i saw the thing about flattening out the esc tray or something. can you explain me about it?

any other tips in building it? any upgrades?

Tekin has good customer support, but I have not had luck with there ESC's. Every one I have owned I have had issues with. That being said, I would check out the LRP/Reedy combo, or check out Orion. I love the Orion's and Hacker's esc's. (Orion and hacker have the same ESC just different coloring). 8.5 is plently for the car. Ball cups are good. The battery I would recomend using the Protek batteries or check out the High Velocity Racing batteries. Those are 2 of the best batteries I have used. Not a fan of the electron items.

Building it, make sure your arms fall freely, and TAKE YOUR TIME!! Anybody can have a kit done in 4 hrs, but just make sure you follow the instructions. Hope this helps you out a bit
