So I have thought about trying the inline setup like what was just released but when I look at setups I see a lot of lead weight added under the foam pad or receiver with the battery all the way forward...

I don't like the idea of adding a bunch of weight just to put the electronics inline. Has anyone found a way to get the same feel as a non inline setup without adding a bunch of weight? Why dont they just move the battery back instead of adding all that lead weight?

I have to say I have done something really foolish. I was in a hurry to fix my car in between races. I installed my front bulkhead upside down. I have been driving like this for almost a month lol. I just noticed it last night when I seen one of the front wheels was slightly in front of the other. I got looking into it closer and noticed the steering turn buckles didnt look square. It was very subtle and hard to notice. Then I also noticed it repositioned the hinge pins of my front arms almost like raising them.

Maybe my car will drive better tomorrow lol.

Just use a standard stick pack instead of a shorty , no extra ballast needed.

I'll be honest and say ill try it next indoor season. Not too interested since the outdoor season is here and we race real outdoor tracks that are bumpy and low grip. But by indoor season... There'll be a few more changes to try...

Or... It's very simple quick money maker.

Rc folk love hopups and carbon fiber.

You can achieve a similar feel with the A hub towers and running 0-1mm washers on an unshaved ubrace, but the feel will be slightly different.
Actually shaving the brace and going to c towers still lowers the roll center. Because the link is still at the same angle but the link is lower.

well are you looking at mod or stock setups? The pro's like a little more weight for mod. And you can get away with less in stock. But you should always try to move the pack around and find your sweet spot.

Default ESC shelf and battery strap

Hey,

So yeah, was going to make several esc shelfs and battery straps but now AE has released one,
Is there interest in mine?.

Just got my 3D printed parts to make sure they'll fit before I cut out the carbon

What do you guys think?
I might make the base a little bit wider so you have more space to fit your esc (and capacitor) and also make a slot so you can route your servowire to your shocktower and then to your receiver.

When using a full pack, you have to use 2mm washers.
But the pack still rubs a bit.

Fitted with battery:

Looking to make the final product out of carbon fiber (2mm) NOT this material. I would like to kind of know how much I have to make,
Probably will sell them for around 10$. Still depends on how much people there are interested..
So if you really want to buy one, send me a message.

10$ for the both of them or just one?
it looks like a good design. and i like that i covers the balance port.
the only problem i can think of is that it covers the +- so you might go wrong.
and not all batteries have a bullet port, so the it might not work with all batteries.

Why does the front of my buggy look just a little bit wider than the rear?

I swear I am setting this thing up right...

Hi,

10$ for both. (Well first I have to know how much shelfs and straps I approximately have to make.)

Yes, a red sticker of some sort of mark on your battery will solve that issue
Most people here use batteries with bullets?

You mean a battery like this?

Shouldn't be a problem.
