I prefer the proline foams as well. But have never tried AKA tires or foams.
It's usually proline or Jconcepts tires for me. Bar Codes and Caliburs all day long....

what you are looking for is a tapered edge. Run your finger around the tire (not across). Do it both ways. When you feel one direction smooth and one direction rough (picture a saw blade) then you are good.
I thought you were staying away? You just couldn't resist, could you?

Already been mentioned a few times, but they want to keep it a new thread. Of course the funny part is that NONE of us have a B4.2 yet so who knows if we should even be posting here. And yes I have posted in both.

Just upgraded my 4.1 to the big bores and vts slipper stolen off my b44.2. Ill be racing tomorrow to see how it works. I normally run 30wt front and 27.5wt rear. Should i keep this weight in the BB shocks? Ill be racing in the morning at Debbies RC i chesapeake VA. The slipper ill just adjut unt i get a good feel.

I put the 1.7's in with 35/32.5. Feels soft but I can still do a 2-3 foot drop with no slap. Might pick up some 37.5 tomorrow if i need more dampening. 1.7s with 35/32/5 seem to still have more pack than v2's with pinks or #2's.

Here is a thought. I am a reader. I read most stuff related to my cars and equipment. Whenever I search for something specific, The search doesnt exactly take me to what I am looking for. It is no wonder people give up and repost the same questions over and over. Wouldnt it make more sense to have a B4 section with subsections related to suspension geometry, shocks, and transmission components. One huge B4.1 or B4.2 thread to have to sift through with alot of the stuff already discussed multiple times in different places is very difficult for anybody to get any valuable info from. That is what rctech is about, right?, Valuable info related to ones equipment? Do the same for all the popular vehicles where a request has been made. JMO

In theory that sounds good. But I know I don't want to be reading/reviewing 6 different threads per car that I have. I'm on this site too much as it is

^ That too.

Also it would be a NIGHTMARE for the mods/admins to deal with this. Being both a mod and an admin on different forums I've seen the things that go on behind the scenes to keep a forum running smoothly. They'd spend so much time moving, merging, and deleting threads it would be a major pain. More than it's worth really...

Still pushing tonight. Went green all around with BBs built to spec, 30 and 27.5 in rear. Two washers under each ball stud, 0 degree with c hub set in middle hole. Running proline suburbs mc compound front and rear with Pro lines cc insert. 2* anti squat, no toe on front 3* on rear. Neg Camber 0 to .5 in front 1 in rear. Ballast weight and 1/4 oz in front triangles. Two washers on bump steer, Ackerman is forward hole, running avid steering with carbon top plate. It was not bad, got better but my b4.1 rtr basher turns better. Indoor small track medium to high bite. Pretty wet, I came off the track a few times with a lot of dirt stuck on the tires and they felt a little slimy. Ordered some bar codes for the rear to try out next week. Any suggestions on what to try? Fellow racer suggests 25 weight in rear shock which I will try maņana, indoor track but about 45-50 degrees though. Was also going to go to black spring inrear see if that helps.

I wouldn't think it's your rear wheels. If anything, the more rear traction, the more you're going to push. Have you tried changing the fronts yet? I find that running Suburbs in the back with Bar Codes up front is a great combo for me. Same track conditions you're describing too.

I already have tires I put back for this car. Street Tires for outside,
and rear barcodes and front taper pins for offroading.
Just have to put them in the oven at 245 degreess for 15 mins
to get the tires off my tamiya rims. It leaves a bad smell afterwards
but has to be done because that saves me money buying new tires.
