Im thinking they moved the entire tower forward a bit, no way to know until it's released.

The new towers are thicker at the top just where the shocks mount. If you follow the "real" (b4.1) thread with actual info you would see someone posted a close up pic of the tower and you can see.

I don't have all the numbers but:

.30 short x2
.30 long x2
.40 long x1
.20 short x2
.20 long x1

I have not run the TiN studs yet. I know that the coating is TiN, but what is the ball stud made out of? Alum? Ti? Steel? Are these strong than the Silver Studs? Or just smoother.

I'm going for smoother and bling more than anything.

But if you want to add the part numbers that I listed once we get another confirmation to your first post, that would be cool :D

I think the BB shocks were the main driving force. The rest of the upgrades are meh. If you want people to switch from losi to Ae and tell them hey buy my car for $250 and then buy my $100 shocks, then realize you cant sell your v2 shocks because everyone wants the BB shock. Then, less people will want to switch. Once the came out with the BB shocks, then needed to release a new "dot" revision. But they took it a step further and gave you every upgrade you were using and wanting. I think they did the right thing. This was the best thing they could do to try and bring drivers over to AE. Buy my car with all the upgrades, just add tires and go. I wish more companies sold cars that were loaded out of the box.

+1

I would have actually been bummed if they did a whole new chassis since my b4.175 is only 2 months old lol. Actually I would have loved it but the current chassis does very well so whateva

Smoother. There's very little difference between them and stock ball studs once the cups are broken in. Mostly done for bling.

I have some currently and the gold coating is wearing off. The standard ball studs are just as good.

Wildcat1971 01-16-2013 05:13 PM

ok, so they are not Ti studs with a coating. they are steel with a coating... I will pass, lol.
