Finally got to my build after staring at the box for several weeks. This isnt your average mass produced kit. Really impressed with the build, fit and finish! Comparable to Serpent (that isnt a bad thing). As of now I see no reason to come out with a 2.0 version. This isnt a toy at all and im looking forward to pulling the trigger. Good job Tekno!

FINALLY! Done. After about 3 days and many many hours and some profanity being yelled I'm finally finished with the kit. Took alot longer than I expected.. Ha. This was my first ever RC kit to build though so I guess I didn't know what I was in for. Other than a few hiccups ( one wrong pivot ball included in the kit for the sway bars, Motor mount not fitting on the chassis into the little premade groove causing me to grind it out bigger) Im very pleased with this truck. Very solid and beefy! No steering slop, no wheel slop, everything spins and moves nicely. VERY well done Tekno. Heres some pics of the finished kit. What kind of wheels are you all using? Forgot what brand mine are but they are waaaaaaaay too wide. You can tell in the pic how far they stick out.

The AE and the Kyosho CS pistons will both fit. I sduggest the Kyosho piston. My reasoning behind it is, the AE is heavier or Kyosho is lighter, whatever....so the holes will be more in line with a vehicle of out size.
Part number is CSI-21-B for the blue ones.

Chalk up another TQ and a Win for Dragula's Tekno...Usual crowd wasn't there, and I had the only Tekno, but I still had fun...The truck is very fast and nimble!

Looks great! It is a fun kit to build.

I used the stock TEN SCTE wheels. I would advise you to purchase the following:

1) Aluminum Hex Adapters
2) M4 Aluminum flanged locknuts
3)Aluminum Screw Kit

Order it direct from Tekno, they ship fast.

Final round of WRL series was held today at C.R.C.R.C., qualified 4th for the main (missed 3rd by 2 seconds)......Lil rough start in the main getting forced over the tube and stuck, had to be marshaled. Crossed the loop the first lap in last place, worked my way up and battled back to 3rd for the finish!! Took 3rd overall in the whole series.....and what a long series it has been. 5 rounds, and 1st round started last year in october. Had a lot of fun and thanks to my Tekno SCT410, i'm progressively getting faster.......I'll have podium pics soon

Got Aluminum Hex's on. Stole them from my Prolite 4x4. What's the difference between the M4 flanged locknuts and the ones that come with the kit?

The stock ones that come with the kit are not serrated. Look at Tekno Part # TKR1213.

The ones that came in both my kits came with black serrated wheel nuts. I like them because they bite into the wheels much better than a standard nut would. I still put just a dab of blue loctite on the axle threads for added insurance.

My kits both came with the TKR1213 serrated aluminum gunmetal wheel nuts...
