Personally, I like PL V3 foams - Pt # PRO6115-07 - as they fill out much better than anything else out right now. Now, if AKA made an SC specific foam like most everyone else, then that would probably be the ticket. :)

They do, it says 1/8 and sc on the bag LOL
I love the AKA red insrts on all my tires .They work better even the 2nd time if You reuse them..Cheers!!

Proline V3 foams work great and they're WIDE enough for the barcodes. Also, make sure you have holes in your tires, it'll make the closed cell foams last much longer if you wash tires.

I picked up a leather punch from Harbor Freight for I think $15 or less. Great for punching holes in tires.

Favorite post so far for the year!

Got the lap time and results info from the last race. Both vehicles mine, a pretty decently setup buggy versus stock tekno.

B4.1 buggy in Open 2wd electric: 25/6:03.23
SCT410: 25/6:01.69

Overall best qualifier was in mod 2wd SCT, those guys are nuts lol, running 4 poles, cut down foams, the works. fast drivers

25/6:01.46 in mod 2wd SCT

all times were TQs. Guy in the 1/10 electric class then really stepped it up and was killing it, managed 3rd then.

I should do this right and try some different tires for my SCT410. the AE SCT stockers I used were good till it got really cold in the place. thinking some barcodes or wishbones clays. It deserves it. :)

Couple questions:

1) Does anybody know how long it will be before we see screw kits (RC Screwz, Tonys Screwz, etc.) for the SCT410? I don't really want to order them individually.

2) Is there any estimate on when the SCT410 parts will get to the distributors and suppliers? I'm guessing it will follow a similar timeline to the kit release (i.e.- tekno got them on a friday, amain had them by the next wednesday...so if tekno had the parts this past friday, amain might have them listed tomorrow??...This may be wishful thinking.)

Thanks for your help.

Anyone figure out a set of wheel that won't drag on the steering kingpin bolt yet? Even with the washers removed and a button head screw there is a noticeable groove in my Proline F11 wheels after a handful of runs. At this rate my wheels will be worn out before the tires.

Spare parts have been delayed slightly. The factory is packaging them up now, but they have not been shipped yet. We hope to have the majority of the spare parts in around the week of Feb. 11th.

There must be some basic issue at hand we are missing. I triple-checked and the only way to get my F-11's to rub is to smash them till they are shaped like a football. That's with all stock hardware.

Shot Tony an email to see about making some. To be honest, I would just order them individually so you have spares, its not like it takes that long.

Don't recall but is there a breakdown in the manual stating the totals of particular screw sizes you need? Maybe someone can post that to help?

Is this consistent in depth? wondering if you are getting this because of wheel flex?

We're working on it. (first post or first page info, that is).

Since I'm a mod, I've asked the admin to allow me to edit the first page. I have no problem keeping it up to date, or passing it on to Tekno.

Cain- Carpet?
Just a little history here. Last year, my home track was carpet offroad. It didn't take off... So this year he brought dirt in :D. Anyhoo...when I ran there last year most guys recomended the stock AE tires which I thought were OK...but, with my Hyper 10SC, on a whim I tossed on some Clay ( MC ) compound Suburbs. Turns out, they were sick DIALED! Your carpet may be different...I dunno, but thought I'd share. :)
