tekno piston blanks for sure would be cool to have. I'd be happy with a large part tree version to keep costs down, say one with 8 pistons on it.

Mod1 gears are tough, just have the pinion gears two thirds of the way in. I have set it that way and am on the same spur since September. Simple.
Rocks... won't matter what your mesh is... day's done. Also for the diff moving back and forth you can shim it to keep a small amount of play instead of the few mm's that we get without shims. Shims on the outside of the bearings. |
looking for a BCE tekno sct410 chassis, version 2 if anyone is willing to sell. let me know. thanks,

Internal gear ratio is 4.0 and the usable range for a 4000kv is 17-19. 19 gives a FDR of 9.27. The 4000kv has so much torque that overgearing a little makes a better throttle feel.

I run 10 to 15 degrees esc timing on my 4700 with a 15 to 16 pinion and run 135° or less.
I think your temps will be well under 160° so add some timing in (after you've ran the 19 and confirmed temps). That will wake up the top end of that 4000. If those temps are in medium to tall grass, track temps will be more than fine. |
hmm, I think I'll give a bigger pinion a look on the PRCP Track I run at. I run about 16T I believe and like the feel.

Run a large out door 1/8th scale track that gets dusty whats a good setup I'm picking up my new truck just days before our yearly big race so testing time will be limited. Lots of great info here just so much to sort through!

I hope to attend a loose but very small track with the same setup and see how I like the rotation. Off the top of my head, for diffs and shocks I am using: 5-5-3K Front Shock: 35W Losi, Kyosho 1.5 x 6 hole pistons, 3.8 lb springs (Tekno Pink?) Rear Shock: 30W Losi, Kyosho 1.5 x 6 hole pistons, Tekno Greens (thinking going to Tekno Yellows) 4.5 rear toe. |
Now that BCE is gone(RIP Bill), and I'm not getting the chassis I had ordered, what else do we have for upgrade options other than a EB48 chassis? Anything out there yet?

I posted a setup based on info tekno gave me that my truck felt the best it has on a large 1/8 track that is very loose (search for PRCP RC on youube). A big thing you may want is the LRC rear toe block.
