Another question on the BCE chassis, for those who have found that you are getting much more traction, have you been able to lessen your rear toe-in?
im sorry if this has already been answered. the stock mudgaurds will not fit with no modifications. you have to trim them down

I've been running the evo for a few weeks and its going pretty good, I didn't use any cutouts, I just cutout all vents but 4 in front to tryout this weekend so I'll see how it goes, they make a full precut 1 now as well

What day do you race at SDRC? I'd like to check that body out. See if it is worth picking up.

Please excuse my paint job. I am a rattle can junky, and I need to get an airbrush set up so I can do something creative.

I HIGHLY recommend the machined shock pistons. Molded parts off a tree are just never all that consistent. 8x1.4 seems to be a good choice.

The front springs are a little soft if you are running a higher grip track. The rears are fine unless you have some steep ramps, then you will get some chassis slap and erratic flight.

The +1.5 rear toe block is very nice. Allows for an added rear toe setting, or to run the only other toe settings you'd ever use with the stock plastic ones. 4.5,3.5,2.5 is what I believe they work out to be, someone correct me if I am wrong. 4.5 seems like a lot, but the truck still steers like a champ and rails sweepers awesome with it, so thats what I have been running. If your track is a truely high grip one, you could prolly pass on this one. My indoor tracks are generally not all that high traction.

Aluminum hexes as well, the +1mm versions(or whatever the wider ones are). I could tell a noticeable difference in overall smoothness with the slightly wider hexes over the plastic ones.

Is the proline evo body a good choice or is there something better that racers prefer? I assume the one for scte fits http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXDVDU&P=7
-Is the pro4 4600 doggish at all? Trying to decide if i want the extra 28 grams of the hd motor
-what wheels do people prefer

Having owned the following motors:

- Tekin Pro4 4000Kv
- Tekin Pro4 4600Kv
- Tekin ProHD 4300Kv
- Hobbywing 550ish 4000kv (the one with the middle fins)

and using the last 3 in the Tekno, I would say the Pro4 4600kv motor feels good. Its not a punch powerhouse, but if you are the guy that has issues fighting too much torque, not enough throttle control, it can work really well.

And, if you race at places that go by ROAR rules, I am thinking its still the only one of those I listed other than the sister 4000kv Pro4 motor that is ROAR legal.

If this is your first run in 4x4 SCT, I woudl think its an excellent motor to start with in my opinion.

Now, if you are not limited by that, and want lots of torque, you can't go wrong in my opinion with the ProHD or the Hobbywing. To me, they felt very close in power. enough so that I went with the hobbywing over the ProHD.

I also liked the fact the hobbywing felt like it was a bit easier on my electronics at the time than the ProHD. But, if you are using a 1/8 style ESC like a Tekin RX8 or Viper VTX8, I would have no prob going with either.

Just make sure you have top of the line batteries. That would be my big suggestion!

I run the 540 4700 from hobby wing and it is a great motor. I run it with the 15 tooth that came with it and I have enough torque that I can make the big triple(8th scale buggy) at our local track that is mostly a double single for SCT

If you want super torque go with the 550 can....If you want a little more controllable torque and speed 540 can 4 pole.
