Probably could, but I think they are in the $10 range so it would probably not even be worth it in the long run. But if that's your thing and you are into fabbing up parts by all means go for it. If you do share some pictures of the end result.

Anyone drag racing this car? I know is travesty but I bought it and the drag scene is big in this area so I'm going for it. 1/8 or 550 castle motors?. Let me know

Oh no not me i'm lazy and just bought them. They were ok, but got in the way when working on the truck and I took them off to do something and never put them back on.

Yea I drag race it if someone is turning onto the straight away with me at the same time haha, honestly though I doubt anyone is drag racing their tekno but you paid for it so do what you want, don't know much about what'll work but I'm sure a 8th motor on 6s, proper gearing and proper kv so it don't blow up will work haha

Thanks guys! I will remove the center brace all together........is the battery mod a "must"? So far my truck seems fairly balanced while in flight.

Battery mod is definitely not a must, in fact if you have good jump/flight characteristics def don't change it. Hate to see another beautiful tekno hacked up for no reason...

Sorry guys, guess u can tell after 2 posts about it in a day that I think the battery mod is a horrible idea. If you r nose diving first address your suspension.

What battery connectors are you guys using? I'm going to order a few SMC 2s 7200mah 70c lipos. Not sure if I should get them with the deans connector or inboard. I'm running a RX8 Gen 2 and a Pro4 HD 4300.

The best thing is the owner of tekno's not some corporate but an average joe racer like us, who listens to the end customers. Nothing beats that!

I've assembled a few different cars/trucks. I've assembled a Losi 8T 2.0 E truggy, Mugen MBX6TR truggy, Mugen MBX6E Eco (complete tear down and rebuilt it), and a couple Axial vehicles.
Out of all the RC vehicles listed above, the Mugens were a couple of the best builds, as far as the parts fitting well and general assembly goes.

I'm currently about 1/4 of the way through my SCT410 build. So far, it has been an absolute pleasure building this truck!!! The parts fit like a glove, the instructions are very easy to understand, even down to how the parts are packed!!! This has been the absolute best build I have done on any RC car or truck!!! If the truck runs and drives as well as the build is going, I'm in for a real treat! Can't wait to get it completed and see what it will do!!

Hats off to Tekno for designing a great truck!!

I'd run deans, I'm too scared to run inboard
