thats lame I wanted it to be a single wire, I have it going under the esc tray, do they have really short extensions

Note: I already took the bottom case off to see if there was extra wire

There are super short to long extension wires, figure out how much your short and get one that's as close to that as you can.

Hoese37 08-30-2013 12:25 AM

I needed a 1.5" in mine

XRated SCT 08-30-2013 12:41 AM

Thanks, hoese where did you get your extension, shortest I've found is 3", are you using a RP servo?

8x1.3 tekno pistons with 37.5 front 32.5 rear losi oil . Full rebound front
Zero rear. Fells great

I don't have grey for the front, so yellows will have to do. Are the tekno pistons worth the $25? I am thinking ae 40wt front and 35wt rear because only have those also.

+1 blockades look just like aka impacts. The impacts are my go-to tire for blue-groove. They suffer a bit in the looser stuff, but when the track is clean they hook up very well.

definitely similar, but the pin staggering is slightly different along with the spacing, and the edges are rounded where the blockade have a vertical pin edge. so yeah they're the same, except theyre different. impacts seem better on blue groove and clean stuff, block its like it a little rough and dirty, but can be a bit edgy.

yeah, the blockades and impacts are actually very different, the rubber is very different too. and prolines foam in sct are junk, the get flat real quick. blockades were designed for long nitro mains.....

You can get a pack of servo extension cables from HobbyKing for cheap. I think the shortest I have seen on their website is 10 cm.

I got it at the LHS. I guess its actually a 3". Im rinning an Associated XP 1015. It barely made it past the wire keeper next to the motor. Another option is to get a super long one, and use it to replace the wire in your servo.

XRated SCT 08-30-2013 09:56 AM

Will I lose anything using an extension, I'm guessing if I can find a short one that there won't be anything too different, I read something on using servo extensions dropping power

The 1.3 x 8 hole kyosho's can be hand relatively cheap and do the job. Not a knock on Tekno, if you are on a budget just an option to consider.

You can also on the cheap do this:

- Take your current 10 x 1.2mm hole pistons
- Seal up 2 of the holes
- OPTIONAL: drill out the other holes to 1.3mm

with the now 8 x 1.2mm pistons, you will need lighter oils. probably 2.5W lighter than what guys who use 8 x 1.3mm pistons use.

Its worth getting a selection of oils. with the oils you have now, you may find sticking with the current pistons better.

my phone has issues with this site. It won't let me choose a file to upload, and I can't use the search function either. Can I email it to one of you guys and have you post it?

You may be able to take a screen shot and up load to photobucket if you have that. Then copy and paste the image from that. May can do the same by selecting all and copy/paste from the setup sheet.

Gotcha, I don't mind spending the money if they are worth it. I have a lot of oil, ranging from ae 25-80wt and pt racing 1100-1600, but all my ae go by 5wts.

+1 for gridirons at Mikes. Couldn't have much better traction.
