Does someone have a link to a good "how to" on the battery tray mod?

There's a pick on the first page also.
I dremeled a slot for the strap to feed up further back on the tray. Don't cut the rear brace that screws into the chassis like I did and the guy on the first page did.

I just purchased a sct410, but I will be drag racing with it, on road and sand. Can I fit a 1/8 motor like the a Mamba Monster without any modifications? If so, what pinion do you guys recommend for a 160ft. straight and what diffs fluid. Thanks

Pretty sure you can fit a tekin t8 in it

yes, its basically the EB48 just scaled down for 4x4 SCT weight.

Heck, wonder if making it into a rally would be possible?

Should be about the same as a traxxas rally just a different body and towers I'm sure

I would think the rear posts could be run tall enough to slap a Kyosho DRX 1/8 Rally body on...

Would you guys say the air guards are a must have? Why or Why not?

mydudrevo 09-25-2013 12:33 PM

No I didn't see much effect from them but left them on anyways as a place to put all my stickers :)

Yeah, I heard they help keep some dirt and debris out of the chassis.

Cain 09-25-2013 12:57 PM

they do a good job keeping dirt out, I also felt my vehicle had better in air characteristics on smaller jumps.

I would say they are not a MUST, they are useful but it's not catastrophic if you don't have them. I like them, some of my buddies think they are worthless. Luckily they are pretty inexpensive so if you don't like them it's not a huge loss. Great place for stickers too

For you guys that have gone from a SCTE 1.0 to this truck. What are some characteristics that will feel differently driving wise between the two?
