If anybody go for shorty configuration be careful. Big mistake on page 40. (Page 8/Step 1) call for drive shaft 85mm supposed to be 95mm instead and (Page 10/Step 1) call for drive shaft 95mm supposed to be 85mm.

No front deck on a 14 and you will pull out a center drive shaft and smash the body with the front bulk head.. If you drive as well as I do.

So I take that as a 'No' from you then.

Their was more in the reply I received. They did say, if you are using the chassis brace front and rear it will be ok. If our track had smaller jumps, I would probably try it.

Got mine today and made it about 70% of the way thru the build. I'll have to recheck the drive shaft lengths as I'm setting it with a shorty. Easy fix.
Bag 1 wasn't sealed in the box and a few of he install pins for the diff build were missing. Be careful when you open the box.
Hoping to get the rest finished tomorrow after work, if I get some free Time.
I couldn't see not using the at least the front upper brace. Chassis has more flex to it than older generation.

Been running my '15, small indoor clay track(Thunder in Nashville). Running shorty setup w/7.5 motor. Car is longer, lighter, more nimble, and I think it will prove to be even more durable. I'm only running the Front Top Deck(not rear. really helps it grip coming out of the corners. Relativley stock setup and I'm VERY happy!!!!!

I posted on the xray forum and I was told it was a mistake that we absolutely need to run the front top deck

There was a mistake in the basic set-up sheet saying to not run either of top decks. However, this mistake has been corrected as you have to run at least the front top deck, where also the body holder is attached. Not runing the rear top deck gives you more flex.

I've been running my '13 with out a front deck at my local track, med to low grip, large jumps and the car was fantastic. I did have to cut up a front deck to fabricate a plate to secure the lay shaft and a front body mount. No problems with the front drive shaft.

Anyone running the jc 12mm aluminum hubs? which rims do they fit.b44 or kyosho?

I tried the jc hexes and my b5 rims were bound up when I tightened them the exotek ones work great

The mm size was wrong, but the short vs long was right in the wording. so yea just watch as you build. Longer one goes in the rear. That was the only hiccup throughout the build process aside from a missing diff pin. Mine is almost ready for the track Saturday.

My diff bag wasn't sealed either half that bag was spilled all over inside the box. I haven't started building I hope I'm not missing anything.

Just be sure and unfold the inside of the box carefully. I found all my missing pieces. After I was done with the build. I had spares for the diff pins already, so I didnt let it slow my build.
