Well you have some options here depending on where you want your arms to sit relative to the chassis/gearbox. On my 2014 car I used the centered insert in the rr hanger and the .5 degree corner bushing up and inside on the RF. the toe and prosquat may make the car push too much. If that happens just change the bushings to make the rear wider.

OK, thanks for that. Good info.

Here's my wee beastie. Totally bog standard build apart from removing the rear plate. Went together very nicely indeed.

Picture quality is probably poor - might upload better ones another time.

So I know that there are 95% part compability between this and the 2wd. How hard is it to either make the 4wd into a 2wd and vise verse? Could it be possible to run the same car in both classes?

Takes about an hour to do a change over the 5% plus set up.. The 2wd come with +2 suspension holders for the rear.... the chassis has a 25 deg kick up in the front, also the top deck is different than the 4wd due to kick up and the 2wd runs 6deg caster instead of 9deg... No sway bars on 2wd.. Front rims need to be cut down.

Rules say you can run a 2wd in a 4wd class but not a 4wd in a 2wd class..

Ok thanks for the reply. I was hoping that it would be a little easier but I understand why they are diffrent. I'm looking to get a 4wd now that we actually have a class. I can thank tlr for that although I'll take a pass on the22-4. Thinking about the xb4, v4 or sworkz not really sure which one yet

cut the inside part of the rim to the 2nd groove then sand smooth.

it helps if you have a band-saw and a table sander

hop over to the 2wd thread and more info is on there

Can't go wrong with the xb4 '14! The buggy is a tank! I bought so many spare parts for my buggy because my local hobby shop doesn't stock xray parts and the only thing I broke was the wing and I bought the kyosho plastic wing and I haven't broke one yet in over a month and I race every week.. I push my buggy to the limits with a 5.5 motor too.. If you like the 2wd, the 4wd is just as good and has similar characteristics in handling.

I don't use Durango rims but a guy at the track does and he said they work you just have to ream out the hole a little bigger..

With the xray rims, the first time I started mounting tires I didn't realize you had to cut the rims out and I mounted them with out cutting the rim down. Still works fine just adds more front grip, but slows the front end down..

You can just cut the rims down with regular curved scissors. Cut right to the first line from inside of the rim and then either dremil it down or sand it down..
