I decided to due a little TLC to my buggy today. I decided to clean her up. Not really that dirty i decided to play with the shock oils. I have to say the shocks were dirty on the inside. The rear especially. I have only driven the car for less then 1 hr in total (One race day and One Practice night). I cant believe they are that dirty. My Kyosho shocks look brand new compared.

[QUOTE=JOJOHAMBONE;12867113]Hey Guys I was building my 2014 Spec and when I put the rear bottom shock screws on they would not go through the shock rod end??? Any ides? And has anyone else had this?
Thanks,
BM
so your saying the screw is too large in diameter to fit in the shock end?
can you post a pick? that is odd.

It's not the shock end like you think, even though it feels that way. Demonstrate this to yourself by passing the screw through the shock end while it is not in the arm. It should go through freely.
What you need to do now, is put the shock back into position in the arm and push the screw in as far as you can. If you watch closely you will see that it does indeed pass through the metal tube in the eyelet. At that point, the end of the screw will be just above or below the hole in the arm at the opposite side. Take a flathead screwdriver and, while simultaneously turning the screw with your hex driver, push up or down (as the case may be) on the end of the screw itself to direct it into the hole.
That should do the trick.

This happened to me on my '13 model. The screw isn't lining up with the hole in the arm.

Raced my 2014 yesterday it was awesome with the stock clay setup. Super durable as well. The b44s were dropping like flys out there :-)

Just as a heads up to anyone else who's seen them on that other site that sells things....those XB4 machined pistons from that company in Macau, they are only ok. I asked them to make me 2 hole 1.6 & 2 hole 1.7's. And they did. Two isssues however, 1) if you buy a set of 1.6's and 1.7's - they have no markings on them to tell you which is which, so don't mix them up. 2) They are the same size as the stock pistons - so ya, they are a little smallish inside the shock body with the same "blow by" as the stock pistons. I wrote them to tell them to measure up a set of Avids, so we'll see if they improve. They offer a ton of different sizes and hole combinations, even tappered pistons. Oh, and they took 4 weeks in the mail.
