The green AE 12mm rear are fine to start with. I think grey fronts is what most run.

okay thanks. so it appears i am going to start one step softer front and rear with 12mm black rear and white fronts.

well i found some RPM upper shock retainers lying around the lhs that fit really nice. the traxxas ones were okay but don't compare to the fit of the RPM's.

They slide over the stock adjustable retainer with a nice snug fit and hold the 12mm spring the same. Used the AE big bore lower retainers for the mod and i am very pleased with the results. figured i pass it along...

Anyone try the gull wing front arms yet? I have a T4.2 kit that I won’t have time to build for a while. I am thinking of snagging the front tower and arms from that. Are they worth the swap? I have them on order to upgrade my FT SC10 to a SC10.2. All I need now are the Front tower, arms and body mounts. It is looking like the rest of the parts may be a while before they ship. I am really looking forward to the new body mounts !!!!

I am running the whole RS package minus the servo and reciver and im not getting any brakes!! why is that just took it out of another car i had and it worked fine. Is their a way to recalibrate them or anything?

your running the RS package minus the receiver? I assume you changed radios and servo and left the esc and motor in the car?

I have 2 sets of arms but no tower,I need one bad!! I was told that the front of the truck doesn't dive so bad with the .2 front end.

Well I tried to get the old body mount to work with the new tower. No Go! :cry: Will just have to wait............:mad:

Just dremel and drill the holes for the shock tower into the old body mount (front piece)

I ran one like that for a while, just had to zip tie the thing at the edges to make sure it was solid

I just installed the vts slipper conversion on the sc10 2wd and the directions say the starting point is flush or 1mm from the shaft. Does anybody have a good common set point on the slipper as 3.5 turns from flush on the stock slipper is pretty common.

I just installed the VTS slipper clutch as well, along with the B44 hubs. I set it flush and it did real good for me. This thing seems smoother with the new hubs. It really launches! The bearing on the B44 hub is huge. Thanks Heavy Jeff D for the tips.
