Sounds like a brown out to me. The motor and servo are pulling to much power out. It lowers the bec voltage to much and it will shut down. You need to add a capacitor to your esc.

What does adding the C-Hubs do for this truck?
Currently I have A Hubs (B44.2) and stock U Brace.
We race on a tight 35x85 medium grip clay surface.
I have put on the AE Big bores with the 4th hole and Truck still seems to be lacking traction

The only change from other weeks is ive been running 17.5 boosted and this week some fast guys showed up and i couldnt hang so i put in the only other motor i had which is brand new, the 6.5 tekin.

any ideas?

it could be your lvc. otherwise, the issues seems to be in your esc or battery

I already have the capacitor on the tekin rs esc are you saying add another?

Hey guys I got question about my sc10 gearing. I just moved and havent been able to race all winter long. I had my truck setup for a small indoor high traction track and it was running great before I moved. With the spring season coming around I am switching back to an outdoor track. It is a massive low traction track, so basically polar opposite of the track I was running earlier this winter. I ran the truck stock last year on the outdoor track but now I am running a much faster motor and need some gearing suggestions. I am running a Tekin Redline 7.5t 6100 kv motor. Out in my backyard I am getting a ton wheel spin with 22/81 gearing. Which way should I go with my gearing? My motor is running really cool (maybe 115-120) right now.

Do u have the stock capacitor?
If so then yes u need another capacitor. The castle 10 amp one works well on these.

If it is a bigger track u need to gear it up. That will also take away some wheel spin. Also turn down the punch..

U can go up a couple teeth on the pinion if u wanted to because I be EEC a motor can run up to like 160 without a problem, and also on the wheel spin if u loosen the slipper a bit u can eliminate some of that!!

Yes. The brushed rtr comes with the XP SC200 esc which is lipo compatible. Here is a link to the specs of the SC200 on AE's website. http://www.teamassociated.com/parts/details/29140/

Oh... For some reason I thought it didn't. But that's cool.
What's the best battery as to mAh and C for the sc10 brushed rtr. Like what's a good mAh and C to get the most run time without getting the motor too hot.

The motor limit in the docs say 17+ turns.. This is the (numerical) BOTTOM limit ?? So, to confirm, i can't run an titan 12t with this esc ?

just get a 5000mah 30c pack.

hotrod87 04-22-2013 04:36 AM

A 12t titan is the equivalent of a 15t 540 can but that's still lower than your 17t rated esc.

Dude honestly, brushed is not the way to go, ur better of being the brushless in the beginning, because believe me, you will be wanting to change over fast js, lol
