I rebuild when I notice a drop in ride height. For our club races I don't rebuild that often. Last year I rebuilt my shocks only twice.

The drier the conditions, the finer the dust and the more contaminated your oil will get. Dirty oil acts like liquid sandpaper inside your shocks. Changing your oil can help prolong the smoothness of your shocks. With the bleeder caps I just loosen the bleeder screw and push out a little oil. If it's clear then I'm good to go. If it's orange, it's time for some fresh oil. Pretty simple.

As always use authentic Team Associated silicone shock oil!!! If you put Losi oil in a B4 you WILL be round house kicked in the head by Chuck Norris while you're on the driver's stand. I'm not kidding... I've seen it happen!!

Yes and I'm not a fan. They seem to be inconsistent. At least the ones I got were. They also don't let the shock shaft slide through them as nicely.

Can you summarize in one sentence? The O-Rings are probably better, but how can we tell? Different color?

So more initial friction to start the shaft moving (stiction)? Or more friction throughout the travel of the shock?

Newer orings are a darker red/orange color than the older ones.

They seem tight through out the travel of the shaft. Some seem to be tighter than others as well. I don't necessarily mind a tighter fit, in the warmer months, but they need to be consistent. I have since switched back to the stock ones.
