yes, kamodo is a great 19t brushed motor!! I ran one before going BL. it was just as good or better than 60$ 19t I use to run.

on my b4 I was running a 18t pin on our indoor track try it or a 17t to start off...CHECK your temps!

For the money motor try a 87/21 for starters, then try bumping up the pinion a tooth.

That's a pretty low pinion.

giving someone gearing w/o seeing or knowing the track is all a guess. Also, different tires are different heights which effect gearing. The best advise is to start on the lower side, do some laps, check temps...and repeat until....Ideally, you want the gearing just tall enough to topout or close to it at the end of your longest straight. You really want it lower for the infield/tighter stuff....You don't win races on the straight.

www.gearchart.com will get your brain chrunning on some gearing...

Yeah you are right you do need to start off low until you get to the right pinion.

they can be useful but depends on the track.... You'll have more side bite on high speeds sweepers & prolly handle better through a chicane. I use to run one (sliver) on my b4, then the track changed (no big sweeper anymore) and it wasn't helping me w/ the newer layout. Slap it on and try it. they are worth having in your tool box.

they are thicker of thinner...more or less flex/stiffer or softer. Black is the lightess/softest, sliver med, Gold stiff. I don't think you'd ever use the gold one...
