how much weight and where on a B4 when going lipo-brushless. I don't have a lot of time to dig through all the pages of this forum, a shortcut would be appreciated

Default weight

None.

Using LiPo and brushless, I just removed all ballast weight from mine and adjusted the suspension to accomodate the weight reduction and the buggy is now faster than before and very balanced. The lap times validated the adjustment.

Front -
30 wt oil
#1 piston
.060 down travel limiters
Brown spring
Middle hole on tower - inner hole on arm

Rear -
25 wt oil
#1 piston
Green Spring
Bottom hole on tower - inner hole on arm

Battery placement does make a difference with this setup, so does battery weight. I run Trakpower 4900 (268g), which are just a little heavier than the Orion 3800s a lot of people at my track use.

BATTERY FORWARD! I've moved the battery everywhere and it works best forward.

Tires - JC Groovy Front and JC DD rear (both Green compound)

I run on an indoor clay/dirt track that is moist and gummy, with slight ripples in places, not glass smooth.

Loads of steering, but I may try 25 in the front this weekend just to get the nose to drop a little quicker. I may have to go to a #2 piston with the 25.

The buggy jumps fine as well.

I run stock (13.5).

For weighting cars, I use the sticky wheel weights they use on real cars when balancing tires. They work perfectly and a lot of times you can get them for free.

One of my friends gave me some blue springs for the front shocks on my b4. What's the difference with the different colour springs?
I had the stock copper/brown ones on before.

thanks for the reply, I am building this car for my freind who has never driven an electric car, we both agree that it should be weighted at least until he gets the feel for the car, anybody else have info, I have tons of self stick lead weight, I just need to know how much to put on the car(reedy lipo pack if that helps)

Try 1 1/2 in rear and then use scale and get car to 57 or 58 oz. just add wight to battery strap start in rear .try silver spring and 30 wt rear and Brown spring with 35 wt front. rear dog bones level and front a arms level. And use what every one else is using for tires. you are ready to go.

If you have no scale add 2 1/2 batter strap with reedy 5000.

Im certain I built my shocks wrong on my FT T4. Can someone point me in the right direction with the shock limiters (.060??) Tebo and Cav's set up just have 6 limiters in front and 2 in rear. I thought you just use 6 spacers in front and 2 in rear limiters
