Perhaps it is your preload? Do they rebound to slow? go lighter on your oil or the 1.3 pistons. Do they rebound to quickly, make sure you haven't failed to put oil in them in the first place...
Just as a blanket statement. Now that the X rings have broken in, my shocks don't leak, have no more or less stiction than any other RC shock and now that I've pulled the bladders out and removed the boots, these shocks work really well.

There's nothing wrong with the stock shocks, they just need better rings.

My slipper has the HD outer pad, two washers, and is locked down. On no grip hard as rocks kit tires, mine slips anywhere I punch it.
As in "Squeal like a pig fat boy".

My slipper basket can't get here soon enough!

Hey guys I'm new to 4x4s and have read a lot(but not close to all) of this thread and wow there is tons of good info. I've had my sc10 4x4 for about 6 weeks now. Local hobby shop had 4 in stock! Lol. I really love this truck. Does great at the local track. I've had fun lapping ofna's and even a scte but I've also been lapped by another scte.
Ive noticed someone ask why you are not supposed to run the high torque slipper pads on both inside and out and I never saw an answer. Sorry if I missed it. But I wanted to know because I've ran the HT pads since day one with zero slipper issues. I have all stock slipper assembly other than pads and it works great. It's not tightened way down, not shimmed or anything.
Can I possibly damage something if I continue to run both HT pads?
Also I run 1410 castle motor with mamba max pro ESC, 40-50c turnegy packs and 14/63 ratio if that helps answer my question.
