my rear diff is so loose I'm thinking about going up in wt oil. I def have to up in the front, the front end is crazy .
Maybe I could try 50000wt front and 3000wt for rear.
I d like to have rear locked under power but it goes from left to right and I have over drive pulley in front so front pull more than rear push.....it s why I don t understand why rear always dancing

There ya go, put the 20t front pulley back on. Mine danced on clay as you describe, until I returned to the standard front pulley!

My theory: On hard surfaces, when your front is overdriven, the rear is fighting the front for control. So it starts skipping on the higher bite surface (I've shredded tires at Mike's before), fighting for control.

Look for balance. I see you've started to lower your roll center, try to keep it even on both ends. I'm now running 4mm on both ends and will go a bit higher once I reconfigure my swaybars.

Also, try flattening out your ride height, I"ve found contentment at 25mm front and rear.

I"m getting real close on mine and I have gotten comments that it's making me look like a better driver than I actually am. Certainly, I"m not saying "I should have bought the Losi" quite so often.

Hey Francios,
I was at Mikes on friday testing out Cav's setup of of AE's site, and it worked better for me. I put the 20t back in the front, went with 7k in the rear, 50k in the front, and also tried out some AKA enduro's which worked excellent! I put in a tenshock 4000kv motor, and it als seemed much tamer on the bottom end, i think the castles powerband is pretty abrupt. I went from laptimes in the 37's to a 34.6

I too raced My SC10 4X4 this weekend for the first time. Truck ran really well qualified 3rd in the A-main, leading but got tangled in lapped traffic. Tekin 6.5, 15 tooth pinion, and a MMP. Motor temps between 150-155. Cityblocks for the loose dirt. Nothing broke, AE put a really nice product together here, so far I'm impressed

yes Francois i went back to the 20t, it seems that the 19t make the front end pull harder through the turns, in effect making the rear end swing out easyer, but the overdrive helps it straighten out easyer. Very smooth throttle imputs, rolling on and off power seems to be the way to drive it.

So far, Ryan Cavaleri's set-up is working well. The only difference in my setup is that i have the dual stage pistons(w/ different shock oils), and instead of running 30k in the front, im running 50k

Did you notice a difference Francios with the trackstar o-rings?

still happy to report no broken parts after countless battery packs

A friend of mine came up with an idea to improve the slipper adjustment on the SC10 4X4. He sketched it up, I machined it out, and a few people tested it this weekend. The results were, cooler slipper temperatures, more punch out of the corners, one stripped idler gear, and two stripped 48 pitch spur gears. For more information check out the website in my signature.

Using the same tires before or after. Before, the truck would start walking on the dif until it snap rolled. It would do this in a straight line.

After, I now have to force the truck to do what it'd do by itself more violently.

Swap out the pulley. If I'm wrong, tell me. But what you're describing is identical to what I was experiencing.

I dont know because compare to last time, I change oil, I add sway bar, I changed tires so too much change to know if the rings do something....
