prosc 4x4
Is the sc10 4x4 the same parts and suspension assembly as the prosc 4x4. I ask because I took my pro sc 4x4 apart to fix it and I cant put it back together. Any help would be great, thank you in advance.

How are the new ProSC's? A lot better I assume than its predecessor? I am thinking about trying out a SC. I have a 2wd AE B5m lite and a 8ight buggy 1/8 scale.
Yes my first post. I have been on RCgrpups for years, thought I would give RCtech a try. Just getting back into car after many years.

they ProSC is basically the prolite with better shocks from what I have heard.
So any issues you will have there, will most likely show up in the ProSC.
If starting out, there are a variety of vehicles available used that would be more oriented towards racing on the cheap.
Hopefully with AE new RC8B3 out, we can see an SC 4x4 based on that platform similar to how durango did theres.

Hey guys. Looking for some setup help. I put john w setup from associated site. We run on a fairly high bite track. Truck felt good except for the sweeper. It felt like it was dumping over causing the rear end to get real loose. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

They fixed the issues that the Prolite had. Better shocks, flexible body mounts, stronger CVA's and a few other odds and ends. I'm club racing the truck just fine. Is it the best thing out there? Not by a long shot. But it's tough and quite easy to make reasonably competitive.

So I realize I'm digging this thread up from the dead (I haven't been into r/c for a few years now) but I recently decided to build up my SC10 4x4 I had stashed away since I bought it years ago. Built up nice, looks to be a cool truck and I'm excited to break her in. Running the venerable (albeit older) Tenshock sc401 w/Hobbywing sc8 esc, 12t pinion/62 spur, 2s 40c pack.

So I have owned an SC10 4x4 for about 6 months now. I have been using it as a basher something to run around the back yard and such. I have been looking at getting into 1/8th scale nitro but before I do, I want to try offroad racing. Up until now I have been racing dirt oval because it is most popular in my area of the midwest. So I am looking for a base line set up for loose dirt with small jumps. Thanks in advance.

Mind you there may be some upgrade parts on there, but you can get an idea where to start for some other settings.

Suggestions on a custom sc10 4×4 build.
I've decided on getting an SC10 4××4 roller and building myself a custom Trophy Truck/Rock Racer hybrid. Kind of like the bare roll cage look but not so much the big lifted rock crawler design. Just for something different. I like the scale looks with my vehicles. I do mainly recreational driving and take a vehicle camping when I go. Just taking some suggestions from some people that more than likely know a lot more than me. I've never really done a build, have dealt mainly with RTRs and I add on to them. Any downfalls of the SC10 for what I want to use it for?

hmm, well probably the biggest thing I can think of is that the motor gearing range is a bit limited, and the motors location can get warm. I would say go with a 540 4 pole or 550 4 pole motor at a minimum.
Make sure the servo you pick is something you really like and is durable. getting to the servo is a real pain in the rear.
I can't really say I had much durability issues when I had the vehicle, it just was made for a different class than where sct 4x4 ended up at.

I was thinking about the Castle Sidewinder 3 system. I think it comes with a 3700kv motor. I would probably be best off looking more toward the higher torque on a servo seeing that I'm prob going to have extra weight in some metal on it and a metal roll cage shouldn't I? Will 3700kv be enough for the weight? I know its not going to weigh like 10 pounds or anything, but I'm not real sire about those ratios.
