I am wanting a great setup sheet for a Large indoor track, medium-high traction, med-large jumps and a 100ft+ staight. I currently am running a Reedy 550 5.5 motor. If anyone could help with suspension, and drivetrain setups i would greatly appreciate it.
Cheers |

thanks, Any advise on gearing? should i run high timing?
Depends on a lot like track & motor size... I recommend 20 degree timing for most .. Aprils Fools race in Utah Scott Browns Sc10 4x4 TQ after 3rd round ... |
sorry if this is a noob question but could I run my tekin esc with a 4x4 truck or a b44?? I am wanting to know b4 I go buy a 4x4 or spend a bunch of $$

So picked up the tc6 brass ballast weights that kinwald has but not sure how to install them the mounting screws are tiny. How much weight by servo running exotek chassis? Saw someone mount weight on under spur gear.
Anyway hope someones installed these $30 weights. |

I got out to the track on Sunday and the plan was to setup and fine tune my SC10 4x4 Lite and when the races started I would run my Tekno SCT410 (because I have it setup for my track). Prior to going to the track I just guessed on the suspension setup, but because the truck was so much lighter I went with lighter oils and springs. On the track the rear felt good but I had too much rebound up front. I changed the front shock oil (to 32.5wt from 30wt) and it felt way better. It felt so good I decided to race it instead of my Tekno. In the first heat I started 4th and moved up to second, the truck was handling great, plenty of steering, very stable and the acceleration was great. Then with a minute or so to go I started to lose power. And then it stopped completely. I got back and the drivetrain felt crunchy so I figured I blew a diff, but upon closer inspection I found I had stripped the spur. Now the weird part is the mesh looked good and the spur was only stripped in a few areas, not all the way around as you would expect if the motor had moved. But the motor had not moved and all I could think of is maybe the mesh was a little off and hard braking and /or landing a jump on power/or braking caused sections of teeth to get ripped off the spur. I am using the cDiff and didn't have time to change it out so I went with the Tekno in the 2nd heat and main. But I was very impressed with how the lightened SC10 4x4 handled.
