AE SC: What pinion size are you using? I read that you are not able to pull out of turn hard enough.

15t pinion on 62t 32p spur on v.1 slipper with garodisks with castle 1410. Temps are non existent. I have the new v.2 center diff installed but haven't had a chance to race it yet. I have a 14t and 16t piston so can go up or down if I need to depending on temps.

So the question overall is... Which one do you recommend? Can the Reventon Pro handle 8th scale if I ever decided to go that route?

Neither for 1/8. for 1/8 4S you woudl want the Silver Arrow V2 which is about $70 shipped from Speed passion. I use that in the EB48 I have and have used it in a few other ESCs, works great, very smooth. It *may* work on 2S, got mixed reports on this but it is a bigger ESC, may not fit right in the SC10 4x4 without some mod.

Thanks for all help... Ended up going with the RX8 since Tower coupons make it much cheaper. Most the local guys have this one also, so they can help with set ups.

I'll be posting pics later this week of the ride. I'll be doing the SC4X 4.5T with RX8 and a DS1313 servo, also ordering 5k/10k diff fluid, extension cable for receiver, and some indoor clay tires... Should be a good time, been wanting to do SCT for a while. Our indoor track is high grip clay and is pretty big.

No prob, I can understand that for sure.

The SC10 4x4 when tuned to your track conditions can be quite fun truck. For what you mentioned your indoor track is, it should do great.

New question, alloy vs plastic wheels. Maybe an odd subject because I cannot find anything on it. I guess my thoughts are the aluminum wheel would lower the center of gravity but also may be harder on electronics as they would be trying to turn a heavier wheel. Or does the lower center of gravity affect anything being below the suspention? Or does this even matter at all? Just a thought that I cannot find an answer to. Any opinions?

Hey guys.. Having a hard time locating the 12mm ball studs for the truck. I looked through the manual and didn't see any

Are they on the truck? I'm looking for some to install on the inner rear ball studs for the 8mm mod.

Thanks and sorry if I'm just blind and can't find them

The 8mm mod was shit indoors at TGH. I even went through the trouble of installing the stupid thing laughing at myself the whole time and it was terrible.

One of the best mods you can give the truck for indoor clay..
Fun to do too ...

Many of Ae best drivers Like Scott Brown , BK , Kody , Hartson all use .

Been using the mod for over a year now , kinda required if you are racing indoors.

Use the TnZ coated 12 mm ball studs , stack 7mm spacers under stud
Mount the C-hub upside down on rear hub as picture shows

What's this mod do?

Car felt completely unreliable. Bad corners, bad onto power reaction, sweeper was so much more difficult to carve, Ultimately making it more difficult to drive fast. Took it off and times dropped .400 on average.

Thanks for the link Shaun, I found it weird that they were listed in the manual but not used on the truck.

Thanks WC, I know this subject has been discussed too much. But does the mod seem to work well in outdoor conditions as well?

On another note......Does anyone have a couple 12mm ball studs they could sell me? I'd like to get them this week.

Has anyone used any the Hobbywing systems with success? If so, which ones? Thanks.

When I tested it in the very loose conditions I run on outdoors here, probably an extremely loose condition in comparison to a lot of tracks I found that it generated more rear traction. The vehicle also squared up a bit more, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was from the camber link being shorter with the risers than the stock middle position on the hub I was using previously. I found though that since I needed more traction, the rear toe-in block worked better so i took it off. didn't get around to trying it on carpet which would be the other extreme, but really never found the need since raising the inner ball stud took care of my traction rolling issues I was having at the beginning of last year on the same carpet track.

Considering the cost of the mod, heck, I'd say just give it a try and see what you think and report back. Maybe you will experience what WC has been saying, or it is crap like Shaun says. Its one of those mods that based on the wide range of opinions people have reported back on using it, I'd say just try it and see.
