Is it just me or does it look very "non AE"?? Almost looks like they went the route of Losi and just decided to have an 8yr old kid in Taiwan assemble it. It just seems odd to me that AE seems hard pressed to not just go with the flow of what is working, or with what you know the team guys want. If they could make that truck it seems like it would be just as easy to go with a moved fwd motor, dual belt drive with fluid center dif and be done with it......
This "qualifier series" is probably just going to be entry level |
Definitely looks entry level. All the parts look a
Bit weak. Funny how entry level cars are so cheap an weak. When entry level people need the most durability they can get. Haha Maybe if you dumped about 450$ into upgrades it would be worthy |

The Qualifier Series is Team Associated's exciting new line of sport-level products that are designed to be FUN above all else, yet are lower cost, easy to use, durable, and provide an easy way to get into the RC hobby. When great looks and high performance are combined with quality features and value pricing, it becomes the ultimate sport product.

How is bottoming out with this oil setup? I find the faster acting suspension keeps the tires on the ground better, |

Hasn't been an issue for me. Though, I live by " you cant make power if the wheels arent on the ground" so I keep my ramp to ramp transitions as smooth as possible and my ramp to flats as low as possible.
I find the faster acting suspension keeps the tires on the ground better, Will add this setup to my binder :) |

cool. You try the Center Diff at all?
Will add this setup to my binder :) I found it unreliable. My best most consistent days were with the exo locked hub and garo for the rear. Here's the results for the last race. Click over to the second page for 4x4 shortcourse A-main. We're only a few seconds from ebuggy https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B-tl.../preview?pli=1 This is the track I run on. Shot this on a rainy day. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...P/GOPR3172.jpg |
Trying to get more info on that Prolite4x4. Since it's shaft drive (and many of us have been dying for such), I'm trying to find it what parts it's compatible with, etc.
Time to buy one and hop it up. :) |
Ok battery preference stick pack or saddle pack?
|
Depends on the setup you like. I've only run stick so far, I'm going to try saddle.

I have the RTR version and just bought the FT kit that AE sale's and I have the option to run stick pack or saddle packs.
So your saying run saddle packs in the center? |
Or should I say center or cradle form.. Or is it just play around for best setup?
Is there an advantage to saddle pack batteries than stick packs? I'm thinking about the Orion saddle 5500mah 90c battery for my sc10 |
Me personally I found that the car felt better around the track with the saddle packs down the middle. Disadvantage, if you have a track that can be brutal on runtime, you may find the benefits get outweighed because of this. You can however look into a center stick pack setup as well.
Anyone know the difference between part # 91174 and #91174P descriptions appear to be the same but one is more expensive? |
