No, I said the belt truck was sub optimal for a dry slick or blown out 1/8 scale track. And I think I even figured out why. And I said the A arms warp without provocation, and the (non VTS) slipper sucks. But I wasn't alone.

I have a closet full of AE product that I like very much...and one that I'm certifiably MEH about. But the 4x4 is good indoor and its uber durable so I just run it for fun if I want another class other than my B4.1 or my SC10.

So George, please, when you read this, take it personally - you are a big stupid head. There, I said it.

And, for the record, I think the biggest problem with this truck is when it was designed, nobody thought anything about 550 can motors. The evolution of the motors rooked this chassis (in the hands of an average sportsman racer running in outdoor club race conditions, because if you can run Gold compound barcodes it's fine).

For some reason I get a feel of some Thunder Tiger influences from some of there vehicles they have out in the sparrowhawk line. Particularly the a-arms from looking at the 3 holes in the a-arms:

also, the motor mounting setup looks similar:

There are some differences though for sure. Like the position of the servo, however, I *think* there are some other thunder tiger vehicles in a similar layout that have the servo in the same position as AE does.

Yep that's spot on. Looks like they've added bumpers and reworked the centre chassis.

Even the front Aarm brace matches.

As for a FT version of this, heck, anything is possible. If this flys off the shelf and the demand is there for a FT version, you never know.

To me, looking at it who knows, for the crowd that would want a center diff, probably easier to come up with something that could drop in a center diff in this format than our SC10 4x4 format (as far as a fluid filled center diff).

Its still not a three diff truck. but I put it on thebigsc.com anyway.

I'm not impressed. I still love my sc10 4x4. I've been running a loose blown out 1/8 track. We've had a pionts series this summer (8 races) and after this last race coming up. I'll land 1st or 2nd out of 30 guys.

I've done some unconventional things to my truck to get it to handle right on the track. But it's done me well.

lol

For me at least, depending on how the chassis is setup, I wouldn't be surprised if you could see a company make a graphite / alloy chassis for this vehicle and have an option to drop in a center diff from some vehicle if the demand is there.

Curious what the price is going to be on this in comparison to the AE SC10 4x4 RTRs.

Whats your setup and what track conditions exactly do you have? Could really help people out in similar conditions.

Considering this is a entry level kit in comparison to AE's flagship SC10 4x4, to me at least doesn't look too bad, depending on price.

I run on a blown out, bumpy, loose(dry) medium(wet) dusty 1:8 track

I'm running top of my class out of 30 guys with this set up.

Is it just me or does it look very "non AE"?? Almost looks like they went the route of Losi and just decided to have an 8yr old kid in Taiwan assemble it. It just seems odd to me that AE seems hard pressed to not just go with the flow of what is working, or with what you know the team guys want. If they could make that truck it seems like it would be just as easy to go with a moved fwd motor, dual belt drive with fluid center dif and be done with it......
