If you are interested, I have about 40 pins for it, the newer hardened ones as well as an extra thrust washer and that blue spacer thing, all new. pm me if interested.

congrats vito.

MRCCC: Did you replace the gears or just reused the previous ones. Reason I ask is that its possible if you reused them, they were damaged enough that it more shims wouldnt' fix the issue.

hey guys, just purchased an sc10 couple weeks ago from a forum member. i have several fifth scale gassers but all the electric stuff is new to me. couple of dumb questions. it has a tekin rx8 and a traxxas velinion motor. running 4200 2s lipo battery. should i upgrade the motor? how much run time will i add if i get a bigger lipo battery. if i do change the motor what do i have to do to the esc? thnx in advance and sorry if these questions are stupid. im trying to learn.

No. No. No....New gears of course, and New cases beacuse i had the stock copper case, all new!! the only thing I reused were the outdrives I even put new bearings, 20k oil on front and 5k rear.... two shims under each sun gear!
The noise went away the first two days at the track then its starting to come back little by little only under high torque. Im going to take them out again and examine the gears I wish AE would make them out of a more durable metal.

A lot of the RTR parts can use a aftermarket upgrade ..
Expecting to see lots of new parts soon as this ride is going to get a whole lot more popular due to its performance on the track ...

Its not that expensive to build one and its speed on the track can't be matched by any other design .

I sold the old Sc10 , RTR ESC , Motor & body for a total of $230 off the $350 price ..

Have purchased to build as seen
Sc10 12mm shocks , Ti Rods , Losi HD ball cups & stud, serrated wheel nuts , JConcept battery strap .

Pro-Lite = lighter , shaft drive , lower center of gravity....

Is this good combo, for sc10 4x4? Cheap it is, but have someone test this motor or esc.

The ESC should be fine, but I would go with this motor:
