SC10 4x4 Thread
Yeah, the lighter chassis and that motor had the beans on the straight.
Didn't get to see much of the losi's once Ty bobbled at the beginning Mayfield checked out... except for that pass on cavaleri, not much wheel spin there.
Great race and I'm bummed I didn't make it out there with it being only 30 min from home

Rather obvious the center diff rides were slippen on the 2nd heat.
Then Mayfield's smooth & very fast Reedy 550 .
On that slick track ?
Played a big roll in his victory , as everyone can see ....
They did at the super nats, must have been like driving on flypaper.
Where's the super sauce Fred?
Guess I see why you like the 8mm mod then, I'd be traction rolling at every turn on a higher bite track than wcrc
Curious, how long do your tires last? Still good life left on my tires from March.

Trcr changes the layout about every 8 to 9 weeks ..
After week # 5 you can wear a set of tires out after two practice runs & a club race ....
Maybe not fair to say it was slippery , more accurate maybe to say it varied depending when they watered the track..
I would suspect it would jump nose high, but the shocks might mask it.
well I was asking aobut it and I mention the exotek, 8mm mod and the rcshox diff and he just looked at me funny and asked what I was talking about. I told him I got the information from rctech. He told me he never uses websites, just tunes the cars to the way he likes, lol. How could i say he is wrong, lol. he crushes me. but the oil front to rear is off by 12.5 wt. he said blue springs in the rear, but no idea if they are fronts or now. I assume the 40wt up front is to make the truck push. From what I can tell the truck jumps flat. maybe slightly nose up, but just just uses brakes to downside. Are the 1.3 pistons bigger than the 1.1s?
Last time he refused to drive my truck after one lap stating my radio was so bad, that he was afraid he would break my truck. So..... i got rid of my flysky, lol. The receiver was bad and it was glitching hard, lol.

Loose I guess.
8mm mod with 5 spacers on the inside link is like having a negative 3 inside spacer count on the regular hub. Haven't seen the 8mm mod discussion lately but the norm is 7mm spacers right?
Haven't tried the 8mm mod, I use 1 to 2 spacers in the rear depending on the track... no mod... I'm the opposite of that.
I like the rear traction high and just monitor entrance speed to match the traction and drive out of the turn with (in my opinion) a high exit speed.
