SC10 4x4 Thread
Just because you believe it, and you write it doesn't make it so.
If it temps okay, no. I was just being conservative with the gear. Somebody told me 11.5 FDR and I think my gear is 12.xx so I was just being cautious. Then the experiment motor controller quit.
Yea that works if you're not in too deep in expensive Tx's and Rx's. Otherwise you can spend $5 on a Rx cap, or $20 on an external BEC and solve your problem. I needed the BEC to be reliable with Specktrum/savox/mmp, but with specktrum/savox/RX8 I just needed the cap.
To me it seems like what off road really needs is an LSD, not a C diff or a slipper. To me they both do the opposite of what you want which is to transfer power to the wheel that can hold traction not the one that is already spinning out of control.
Something like this but not so damned expensive. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...Associated-RC8
If someone could come up with a clever and cheaper alternative (like the center diff) I think it would be the end game for this truck.
Agreed, now that I have the rx8 all I needed was a cap. I did just switch to airtronics but before when I ha a spectrum it worked. Buy I also had a bec with the old mmp and 3 different times I got hot and came unsoldered! I thought I Did a bad job, but not after 3 times.... Never did work great. Eventually just stopped working. I only had it like 5 months too

Not me. I switched it out for my C dif when it came out, felt the same as the MTK to me. Liked the C dif much better.

The MTK basket is better than the AE piece because it uses two larger diameter discs. Add garodisks and it's even better. Add the Exoteck hub and it's even better still.
O-Man !
well, cept me .....

well, cept me .....

- What's pink and two laps down?
