Just be careful with the novak setup, I don't know if they've resolved their issue with their esc's catching fire, also with that motor you will need to dremel out parts of the chassis in order for it to fit......

I have one of those, if fits fine. It's the motor before the ballistic that needs to be clearanced.

What bearing mod are you talking about?

RCMark ... page 921 post 13807 is the original. It has some good pics but if you want details on how to do it you will need to do some searching. I would include those pages as well but do not know them :( From what I remember a drill press (to keep things square) with a cut off wheel was recommended at some point. This, at least, should get you pointed in the right direction.

Hope that helps.

The comment from the moderators... (those are important people to listen to) It states very obviously to search the thread FIRST before asking stupid shit. It's a thrown down rule. It's such a problem even the mods made the point. derp.

I've been on this forum for years , but since day one I've been with losi. I know those cars inside and out I do everything possible to help anyone out with anything when they ask for it . It doesn't matter if they ask a new questions or something that was just answered 5 min ago . If you would rather just say use the search button then help someone then why are you on here ? All this forum is for is to get information or give information . Plain and simple if you can't do either you should keep your mouth shut or get off the forum as your doing no good here .

The search is a good tool and I use it all the time but when you ask something as large as i did like many new people do you don't know if certain things still apply or if you get all the info do the search does no good . If your looking for one thing in particular such as modding the chassis to fit longer 550 motors then yes the search button is perfect, which I could of used but some members were actually being helpful and decided just to ask them.

To the guys actually being helpful I appreciate it. I've learned a lot reading your posts and the few pms I received last night . I believe I'm going to end up gettin this truck And when I do I will help this thread and contribute instead of acting like a jerk like some like to do .
Ive said my .02 and I'm done !

Every single thing you asked was available by a search. You just didn't want to do it. Don't feel bad, you're only the 20th person to try this. (all of which got their way) There are numerous LISTS given to people even by me (much effort involved to put it together mind you with part numbers and all) at your disposal. You chose instant gratification instead. Game over.

It snowed a foot last night. It had almost dried out enough to run. ugh.
Waiting on weather to get down and dirty with my Center mounted Battery.

I have 4 diffs remaining. 18.00 shipped apiece. PM

Holy shit. I did a search in the SC10 4X4 thread just now. KEYWORD: ASSHOLE.

CoyoteSlash, your name came up countless times. <insert laughter>

Stop kicking a dead horse, you made your worthless point and you continue your BS. Give it a rest, you don't have to be a prick every day of your miserable life. I'm quite certain you are a firm believer in having the last word too, but give it a rest already. 1....2....3....4....5.........

Cotoye, What do you use to make the diffs? I tried to use a cutoff wheel but the bushing popped out :weird:.
Do your guys diffs feel "notchy" Nothing is worn and the shimming seems to be right but I can almost feel each individual tooth on the gear when I turn the outdrives.

Just a cutting wheel on a drill press. And alot of Patience.

Doesn't hurt if you use a few washers (total thickness about 1.5mm) with a wide enough inner diameter to fit over the outdrive portion of the diff half to serve as cut / grind stop. I had to use a thin (metal) cut off wheel set to about medium to get enough speed on the wheel to cut without generating too much heat. If it heats up too much the bushing will fall out and disfigure the diff half.

Good luck.

I use an end mill bit. You can put it in a drill press and gives you a nice clean flat cut.

No it has nothing to do with saddles, since the chassis is a 3 piece as well as plastic (or whatever its made of) it will flex, flexing will cause the belt to skip etc.... So its used to reduce the flex......
