I would say stick with the 15. That should be perfectly fine. I ran a 15T on mine with the 3800 for over a year and it was great. Now I'm running the Viper 4500 and I'm using a 14T. Temps were always good, and top end was great.

15t works depending on ambiant temps.. 14t maybe your best starting point, stays at a great temp during the hot months and still plenty of kick. turn down all esc settings etc the motor has tons of rear and runs best with everything at min.

What servo do you run in your SCTE? I'm getting ready to order one for my other SCTE that I'm rebuilding.

Been using a JR 9100t and no issues yet. It's been going strong for about a year now. Also does not glitch out with a RX8 either.

9100T is a great servo but a little slow , I use the Ace/AE DS1015 myself .

Any servo with at least 180 oz torque and .15 or faster transit speed is what you are looking for .

I'm using this servo in one of my SCTE's now and its been great until the last few times I've run it. My truck has been losing its on power steering after about 6 minutes on a pack? Have no idea what's going on. After about 6 or 7 minutes of running I have to let off the throttle to get the truck to turn.

hey guys,

im looking into the SCTE because i like the 1/8 scale design. my losi truggy i great and very durable so i figured i would try the SCTE because its basically a scaled down 8ight. the only thing im worried about is getting a powerful enough motor because i like to run overkill motors and esc's so i dont have to worry about it being to slow or overheating. so what im asking is what motor is a motor i can run on anything from an 1/8 outdoor track to the indoor track turned down. i was looking at the tekins but i dont know which one to get?

im not a noob but i havent been staying up to date with the pro 4 class so any help is appreciated.

thanks,
dan

Tekin pro4 4600 kv or the Hobbywing 4000kv 4 pole would be my suggestion.

Viper Copperhead R45....save some cash and buy other hop-ups.
Its extremely smooth, fast, and runtimes are good. At the price hard to beat
