If yours is draggin your ride height or suspension is messed up. Even if the rpm skid plate wasn't there YOU would still be dragging the stock chassis. Your shocks should not allow your chassis to drag like that except in jumps.

Actually the worst place to drag is off of jumps.

I meant bottoming out, which in almost every vehicle happens. The chassis drags when the truck lands.

Hello, I'm new in this forum...and I can't find the answer I want...
I had two Losi short course; one of them is powered by a combo (hobbywing + plus tenshock 4600...and there's no problem), the other is the Losi SCTE RTR...so the same chassis, but with a Mamba Monster Pro and a 2800kv Losi Motor...
I'm using it with 2s Lipos...but is really very differt from the other...in your opinion this combo had to be used with 3s lipos???
Thenks a lot.

Yes, 2800kv is really ideal for 3s lipo; however if you gear the living crap out of it you can make it work on 2s lipo. People have won very big races running 2s lipo and geared up RTR's.

I have the RPM bumper and it does reduce the front ground clearance quite a bit. I haven't found this to be a problem yet though. My ride height in the front ranges from 28mm to 30mm depending on track conditions and my lap times have not increased since switching from the stock to the RPM.

The one thing I don't like about it is the brush guard. The extended top piece is getting pushed behind the "grill" of the body on frontal impacts (like nose diving a jump) and it stays there until I fix it. This may be remedied by mounting the body a bit farther back. I will probably trim the upper section of the brush guard off leaving only the wide single bar, that would solve my problem.

I was noticing this last night too. Not a big deal, I don't think the nose being up is effecting the aerodynamics too much. And for the record this thread has really gone downhill with all the bickering and "I have to prove my opinion is right" attitudes.

I trimmed the brush guard this morning. I'll post pictures later but it doesn't look bad at all and will solve the body issues.

I agree on the bickering...

Holy crap! I just did this and had to back off my shock collars two full turns to achieve the same ride height after the drop test. The arms felt free enough with the shocks and wheels off but I guess they were not even close. I imagine this will improve handling considerably.

I always wondered why people said the back stock springs were too firm since my ride height was always low with the drop test. After making this small adjustment I see what everyone is talking about now.

Is there a similar treatment for the front?

He means lower spur higher pinion gear. Its a 2800, so on 2s it should stay very cool. My 1415 2400 Kv motor i had before would never get hot on 2s. Ps that is a good motor on 2s and it does win some races at my local track.
