Seeing as how some people are too busy trying to start arguments about stupid sh*t, I'll help you out. Cheapest option there is and can run with anything out there.

This center differential has been rotated to drastically reduce the angle of the front center CVD. By reducing the angle, the wear is reduced on the front CVD and the center outdrive and pin.

I wonder how well that works. Seems like an interesting idea...

Hey Ryan,
So you run 7/5/3 for diff fluid? So would you recommend Aaron's setup for a pretty large smooth 1/10 indoor track? Not any real big jumps. Thanks

Agreed. Some people need to get up from their keyboard and go outside. Arguing on an internet forum is silly and gets nothing resolved.

i think its an excellent idea.. it will help with wear on the drive cups.. and the axels.. i wish some others would have done that allready.. almost ready to sell my BCE chassis for that..

I would certainly recommend it as a very good starting point. I typically run 5/5/3 on tracks such as ocrc and wcrc and I consider those large indoor tracks however they do have some pretty big jumps. The other I do try from time to time is 5/3/3 when I want it to be a little more forgiving.

That chassis does look pretty good. It is certainly another option and something I considered trying as well but I could not get over the motor being cock-eyed in the truck, lol. One thing to keep in mind is bone bind does come into play and changing that certainly affects the way the car works.

I haven't seen anyone complaining about any problems related to drive shaft angle on here (and you know somebody would've by now). It appears to me to be a solution to a problem that doesn't really exist.

Just a little side note on this weird china discussion going on in here...

I work in design. I design things that operate at over 1000 deg F and have a tendancy to blow up and kill alot of people if they arent built with the proper materials. I have NEVER seen a company willing to accept our product if it is made by materials supplied from China. In fact only Japanese material is acceptable from the Asian area. Additionally, it is very, very rare that we can get a customer to accept our product if it is manufactured in our China factory, even if the materials are sourced from North America (only a mexican company has ever accepted it and only once).

Of course, in here we are talking about little toy cars, so take it for whatever you will, but chinese materials and/or workmanship is not highly regarded in any product in any field of manufacturing. Of course it does keep our costs for our hobby down too.

Regards,
Proud BCE owner
