Ok, I am stumped, I installed a cc bec after not being able to get the glitching to go away on my MMP/Pro 4 4600 set-up. I did a few full throttle pulls from a dead stop to make sure the glitching went away and then on the last pull, bam, nothing. The esc would not turn back on, nothing. So i switched out the battery and everything work turned back on. I looks like the battery shorted out or something, but there is no charge and I cannot even charge the battery. I was running a gens 2s 40c 5000mah. Any advice would be great??
My setup
MMP
Pro 4 4600
External BEC (6.0 v)
S6040 Servo
Spektrum sr300 RX
Spektrum DX3 Tx
Gens Ace 2s 5000 mAh 40C

Has anyone drilled the shock cap and used the foam under the bladder to smooth the shocks out? I have done this on my 1/8th scale and touring cars and it works great.

Had my second practice day yesterday with the truck. I am now running everything the same as the Phend set up sheet on the losi site. The only thing that I am running different are the RC Shox 2 stage pistons.
The first time out I had a lot of problems with uncontrollable over steer. That was with 553 in the diffs and no end points set on the radio. This time I went with the 753 in the diffs and reduced the steering throw.
On bald super soft Rebar tires the car was turning and performing better than I could have expected. This was blue grove conditions at the Coral Springs R/C car track. Yeah, thats right. They run blue grove conditions for practice day.
There is alot of positive and negative comments out there about the two stage pistons. So far I like them.

Ok well this is my first short course truck, and I'm surfing the web for the best motor setup, but it really seems to be hit and miss. I'm looking for purely runtime, I want a setup that will give me the most runtime. I don't care about racing, or lipos, or motor size. Please tell me what you guys think would be the best with that being said.... Thanks....

The Castle 1410 motors seem very efficient. Though unsensored, they're a great price / performance option for bashing. Runtime will be determined greatly by batteries, so a Turnigy Nanotech 6600mah seems like a good fit. Maybe a Hobbywing 120A Xerun ESC.
Looks like you have some money in performance parts/tires for a non racing rig...

Hands down best option for runtime, not worrying about racing, would be the Castle 1415 combo on 3s geared accordingly.......Unless you wanted to go to a lower kv option on 4s etc....

My 'brownouts' follow the radio. I have SCTE RTR. I experience momentary loss of power at full throttle, but only at 20+ yards. Seems to work fine close by. Cap did not help. Put in Traxxas radio, no glitching; put the Spektrum radio into a different truck, glitching.

They paired it because it's cheap and in thier stock of gear. Certainly a horizon decision more than losi.
I will give Horizon another chance to redeem themselves. If I can't get this resolved, any recommendation for a under $100 radio setup?
