I love the mud flaps way to much to cut them off, I do plan to cut the bottom posts off on the body mounts was looking at it the other day along with the Nerf bars because they don't do much. Was thinking of Swiss cheesing the entire battery tray because it doesn't need to be solid to hold up.

I also need to order lightend outdrives mine are getting pretty beat.

$200 is a little to rich for my blood to spend on just a temp gun. I'm trying to find something under $50 doesnt need to be new can be used. Think im just going to keep hunting for the Ryobi

If these are good enough for industry they should be good enough for our toys:

You can find them on the bay pretty cheap. I think i paid $20 shipped for mine.

Second, most of that weight came off the back of the truck. This pushed the CG forward and removed even more rear traction.

So, I made up a new battery/ESC tray. The battery is all the way to the rear, the ESC is even with the diff. This should help plant the rear end and give the truck a more stable feel. If it improved but still needs more weight I can add another 2-3 oz to the truck, either with lead or putting stock parts back on the truck(full size mudguards, battery tray, radio box).

I'm heading to the track at lunch. I'll post my results later.

Chris
Good idea!!! Your battery is going to get beat up by the nuts sticking through the top of your battery box.

Chris,

Looks interesting, I have thought about turning around the battery tray myself and mounting it just to try it as well. Let us know how it goes...always getting ideas from you all!

My BCE chassis is holding up pretty well. Just polished it out, inspected it for Cracks, NONE to be found. Little to no wear. Looks brand freaking new.

I like that about it too, as opposed to the HA ones. In this case, it actually WILL buff right out!

I bought mine at Harbor Freight for $9, it's the same as the Duratrax one and I've compared it with some of the expensive ones guys have at my track and it's always +/- 5 degrees of theirs...close enough for me.
