Getting a Tekin Pro4 4600 today. Any advice on what gears I should buy along with it?

I'll be running both on a shorter indoor track and a medium sized outdoor track.

Try a 13T for the indoor and a 14T for the outdoor.

I was thinking about drilling them out to .9mm and going to thicker oils.
chris, thanks for the response.....did it make the truck handle any differently over the stock stuff.....ie,jumps better or worse....steering ......general handleing...i would think in general that with that many holes you would need thicker oils.......are you running the same springs.....
thanks,Donnie......

be ordering from you soon!

Ok, so I ended up selling my Novak setup and went to the "dark side" and bought an RX8 today...now just need to figure out if I want to grab a Tenshock SC411 or save up a little more and get the Pro4 (which means 2 weeks without racing).

Question on the Pro4's...Are the 4000kv's easier on batteries and temps than the 4600kv's in these trucks?

I finally got to run my setup today. Its a short indoor hard dirt track and Iam very pleased with it. Ben out of racing for quite a few years and glad to be back. My SCTE setup is a Rx8 and a Pro 4 4600 and it rips.

running 3 rear 5 center 5 front oils. when I got the chassis Bill told me to get this brace .. as we both live in the same town. I would guess people are having great luck with it. Never ran the short one,, the new chassis came with two holes giving you the go either way route
shox works flappers 6 hole 22.5 oil in the rear with 1.2 compression 1.3 rebound and 1.2 comp.1.3 rebound 17.5 oil in front. thing is to fast for me to handle. I am in 4th place racing with guys that have been doing it all there lives. I just got this truck 5 months ago. having a ball this thing rocks its like driving a slot car it goes where you point it..
Happy New Year

Thanks for that you have cleared it up. Is there anything that goes into front and rear diff drives (if that is what they are called?) Or should I ask should I do anything to those drives?

Yes the 4k is a bit easier. Both are fast. I find the 4000 easier to drive but some prefer to take a 4600 and simply turn it down as needed.

Both are excellent motors. It's hard to tell the difference between the two on the track honestly.

You may want to put your servo link on the bottom of the servo horn.

Did he say to run the aluminum one or the plastic one? I'm planning to get the BCE this spring and was planning on the plastic brace from the RTR RC8.
