No grease on ring and pinion = louder scte
I have seen a video (searched can't find it) of a guy who made an exhaust system for his electric. The car powered a small air compressor which was hooked up to some custom pipes. It was pretty loud...
It's pretty easy to cover the holes if that's the only objection. I took the base plate off my stock chassis and used a dremmel to add a notch where the spur sets. I didn't take it all the way through the metal so there's no hole under the spur. I also took the stock base plate and cut it up and glued it back into place so the holes are covered. It didn't take but 20 minutes or so and now my drivelines sit level.
NITROALM: Any chance of adding the hole for the rear Losi torque brace?
Why do they call them Short Course if their longer wheelbase makes them better for longer faster tracks?

Ah ok! Sorry about the assumption.
I do find it strange seeing as they were out of stock in late july, and got a new shipment in early august. They really should be from one of the later batches.
Grats on a nice truck anyway
Some better screws for the diff is also something that can save alot of time and headache.
Have you checked on the bottom of the battery tray?
Someone with a sticker could perhaps inform us on where the sticker is placed.

yeah it's not that loud, i was exaggerating, but compared to the sc10 it's definitely louder. it probably has something to do with our gears (mod1 vs 32/48 pitch) and like someone said, belt versus ring/pinion. i for one prefer the more robust gears over the belt/32 pitch gears. besides, it makes it easier to identify a losi out on the track, lol
if you want to identify the losi from the sc10 on the track
just look for the one in first place , that will be the losi

Anyone know the size of the pin in the dog bone? The end of driveshaft that rides in the outdrives.

I "upgraded" about a month ago. Glad I did because I was getting tired of chasing a good setup. I didn't want to have to buy saddle packs, or a clutch basket, and wow what a difference in maintenance. It takes much less time to wrench on the scte and it also has a more proven and intuitive design, just look at how easy it is to set mesh on the scte.
