Broke my first part today on my 22

After multiple attempts at quading a double double I ended up ripping the left rear A Arm from the hinge pin. I'm amazed at how durable my 22 has proven to be...

i also have only broken the left rear arm. the car has taken an amazing pounding on the track. unfortunately i broke my 2nd diff screw and a steering housing on the bench today, and most screw holes have exceeded whatever the intended lifetime is. i'll get another car from a different manufacturer before i replace everything that is steadily eroding on my 22.

That is very close to what we are running at Trackside Hobbies. Good Luck to you!
Can't wait for the Spektrum Race! Only a bit over a month away!

Frank, thanks for the setup suggestions. Raising the tranny really helped!
The buggy does what I tell it too when I tell it too, now I just have to figure out what I want it to do!
Made it through two race days without any breakages. Doesn't sound like a big feat until you realize A) I was driving and B) I had to run with the SCTs lol I need a new wing after that race, only got landed on about 6 times.

New Diff Nut = One piece and more reliable.
Black Spur = Same material, update in color when we expanded to other sizes.
Slipper Plates = Shouldn't be black, but maybe a little darker than before; anodizing varies some batch to batch, but I believe we thickened teh anodizing a little on the plates.
Outdrives = Those should be black.
Silver Motor Screws = Just an update to make this easy for most

That is the only part I have ever broken on my 22. Now I have like 3 extra right a-arms.

Had a 22 like 8 months ago and I wasn't fair to the car so I got a used one a few days ago and I'm almost done with electronic install just need a 3inch extention for my esc to rx. Will I get the same effect with the plastic 25 deg kickup as I would with the alum one? Also what upgrades are the team drivers running that are performance upgrades, I run on very high bite clay and we are running slick on most race days when start at 7 pm cause track is usually good n dry by then. What advantages will the alum rear camber block give me other than more durability?

The aluminum parts add weight. I would get the brass kick shim and aluminum pivot block. I run aluminum camber block and aluminum hubs in the rear. If you dont go that route you might need to get the weight set. I think the camber block and hubs is close to the half ounce you get in the weight set.

Search thread for recommended upgrades. Their is a Losi blog.

Same here, I have 3 to 4 right arms and have just broken left rear arms. Hopefully TLR can look to see if there is a void or problem with the inner hinge pin area of the left rear arms. It seems too common to break the same one for many, and I know at our local area guys breaking only the left arm, right at the inner hinge pin hole as well.

At least I'm not the only one...

This is definitely something that TLR should look into.

The stock set up is very good so far but I have to shave off 2 seconds of my time to keep pace. Running 17.5 stock spur with 30 pinion, I’m looking for more bottom end and I plan on turning the motor(motor temps are in the 90’s). Any suggestions for off power steering?

If it's 17.5T blinky I'd switch to the 70T pinion and maybe even go up a few teeth on the pinion. I ran my D3.5 17.5T geared 32/76 with no endbell timing and max endbell timing and never got over 100*. Went down the the 70T spur gear and added max boost with 7* of endbell timing and the difference in power was unbelievable! Came off the track after a 10 minute main and then 5 extra minutes of practice/fun driving during the intermission for the next class at 125*. Gear and/or boost your 17.5T to the moon!

For off power steering switching to 25* kickup and 5* caster made a world of a difference with off power steering for me.
