I'm also assuming that most people don't sauce their tires at WCRC.
No need for the sauce at WCRC. If you haven't raced in a while, you're in for a treat at WC. I recently got a 22. Raced at HotRods with it and WC. The traction makes you spoiled. Don't get me wrong, HotRods is awesome too. Sticky traction mmmmmmmmmmmmmm. 8.5 is a lot of motor. I got the tlr RTR, with the stock 13.5 and it was fun. Just upgraded it to a tekin rs and orion 17.5. Can't wait to run it at WC. Enjoy brother!!!! Oh, and I'm gonna do that 1mm tranny raise.

Looking at the pictures, they seem to be the same or perhaps just very similar, where the ballstud spacers have slightly larger IDs?. If they are different, I'm surprised that people don't mix these up in their kits...

So, the question is: Can I just buy the larger set (TLR1066) and then use them wherever I need them?

The "Spindle Carrier" set of washer has a smaller ID, so you really cannot use them on the rest of the car. I do make sure to use these to space my spindles. The other set, TLR1066 has most of the spacers for the rest of the car, so that should get you what you want. I would recommend the aluminum washer set (TLR6019) as aluminum washers do not crush or wear and keep a more accurate measurement.

More trail will mellow out the steering a bit, less trail will make the steering more direct. Kind of a broad stroke, but that is pretty much it...lol.

Yes, should be the same deal, but be sure to double check you manufacturer's instructions to confirm.

Boy it is a good thing you asked this in the 22 thread. Saddle packs that fit in 22 need to be charged by a lunar powered charger (as opposed to solar power). You also may need to sacrifice NiCad/NiMH cells to the battery gods. Whether or not you need to make a sacrifice will depend on when the last time that the saddle pack was balanced. This is only for saddle packs that fit in the 22, so it is most definitely important to post here in the 22 thread because this question couldn't be asked anywhere else. Be sure to swing back by the 22 thread and let us know how things went. We need more posts in here that have nothing to do with the 22. When you post again, please ask how to gear your 17.5 motor, or if your servo is good for the 22.

Just wondering if anyone has put together a setup guide specific for the 22? I love all the info on here, but a guide for each adjustable suspension part and what different changes do to the car would be incredible. Obviously one change affects the next but a quick reference would be a nice place to start when trying to get our cars sorted. Things like spindle spacing, camber link orientation etc. I have never owned a car if this calibre before and I love how adjustable it is. So to make a long story short. Has anyone seen a guide anywhere out there?

i believe one of the older losi manuals has a "guide" almost exactly as you described it. Each tuning part with a run down of what outcomes are achieved by how you adjust it. ill see if i cant round it up, im sure its in here somewhere

http://www.losi.com/ProdInfo/Files/XXX-T-CR-part2.pdf

page "20" shows as page 7 in adobe. has a pretty good explanation of what all the adjustments do. the xxx cr manual has the same guide in it.

There is a great smartphone app called rc cheat sheets. It has all the info you need as to what adjustments affect what. It's made by associated, but the info will work for any brand.
