Whats a good outside clay/dirt set up and tire? I'm going to take the buggy out on the dirt track for the 1st time next Sunday.

if its a dry/dusty track double dees super soft, if its moist and tacky bar codes super soft. those are the only two tires for the rear i keep around for my 22. i am the farthest thing from a pro though! but ive never had complaints with em.

Besides the motor, servo, and receiver, can anyone tell me if there is a difference between the kit 22 and the RTR 22? I'm starting over on a very limited budget so the RTR package is going to be my starting point. The RTR kit appears to have aluminum shock caps and other similar features that make the kit great.

Yes the kit comes with the aluminum shock caps and mid motor parts. I have the RTR and once I had some extra $$ I just picked up the aluminum shock caps. The Kit comes with a ball diff were the RTR is a gear diff

depends on what class you're planning on running. 17.5 is a solid choice that is drivable for most folks. if you're a lil more used to the buggy then the sky is the limit with how fast you want it. The real question on the motor is how big is your track, and will you use all the RPMs that a lower turn will give you. on a super tight technical track a 17.5 will probably out race an 8.5. But take the same two buggies and put them on something closer to 8th scale size and that 8.5 is going to make that 17.5 look slow on the straights.

Save yourself the trouble and get the right thing for the job, the FIRST time around, instead of just 'settling' with a non-competitive substitute.

Novak stuff is just as competitive as Tekin stuff is. It's all personal opinion.

Not when it comes down to keeping up with others running Tekin ESC's...
The Tekin RS ESC's have far more adjustability and customizable settings, with greater overhead for improving performance in areas, where others fall flat

It's not anyone's opinion, it's proven [and professional's] experience.
