Makes sense to me. I started with a 10.5 then went to the 8.5 and now I run a 6.5. Enjoy the ride...

wickedracer.

There is a possibility you purchased the truck rears which are a little longer. There are three new truck rears which are 5162-5164 and that is grey, white, and yellow. Your looking for 5166 white or 5167 yellow buggy rear springs. For the front 5176 blue, 5175 green, 5171 silver depending on how stiff you want the front. IF you go to amain and type in tlr 22 you can see all the springs and the rates. Hope this helps.

used a 10.5 first 3 races, 8.5 in right now. I did better with a 10.5, my car had more steering but there was a layout change. Now i need to get as good as my 2wd with my 4wd. Im way more confident with my 2wheel. The blue and yellow losi feel very good on landings which are a little off. PLus gold turn buckles make my car cut the air even better:ha::tire:

My dream is to become a "wheeler" its so fun this thang!

To anyone who is interested, PitBox Hobbies is having a clearance sale on their 8-32 Low Profile Aluminum Wheel Nuts, various colors. I believe Associated off-road cars are about the only ones left who use 8-32, so there you go.

You want it to slip for 1-2 feet from a stand still. No idea what the gap is. Does it say in the manual?

Put it on the track and punch the throttle. You want it to slip the first few feet then hook up.. The manual setting is only a starting point.. The slipper setting all depends on how much power your track can take..(IE traction)

Thanks for sharing and please get back to us how you like them! I see the only benifit is to not have to rebuild with new rings as offen?

Okay looking at about 6 weeks and with 1 practice night a week. I practice harder than I race BTW, About 6 10 minute rounds on practice nights.

The white spacer is a must gentlemen.
I have not put fresh oil in the shocks. On race days I topped the fluid practiced and race. The shocks have not started sticking and they are not losing anymore fluid than expected.
I figure approximately 12/13 weeks worth of testing with the white spacer is a good guess ware and tear.
They are smooth and very plush.

I'm using losi oil 25/35 and the rings literally don't feel as if they have swelled a bit.
The reason I am even mentioning this result is I am selling this kit and ordering a new one. I WILL BE DOING THIS MOD WITH THE NEW BUILD.

Heck the way this test has been going I doubt I would ever get back with results if I weren't selling this kit. It's working that good.

I have 15 years of racing and have tested a lot of methods with shocks. This particular test has made enough of a difference that I have to plug it. AE needs to run this set up in there next version box stock IMO.

Are the white spacers part of AE #6440? Little late to the party and can't find anything on the AE website that shows white spacers for V2 shocks.

Thanks for the info.

Sometimes it not easy to get to the track to set slipper, or get on an empty track where you can set slipper. The other option is remove the body, push down on the top decks of the car until the chassis is pressed against your table. Give a quick throttle punch, the car should make a quick jerk forward and then hear a slip. If it tries to drive out from under your hand or the wheels just spin and spin its prob too tight. If you get straight whine and the car never tried to move its too loose
