The 4-40 screw went right in, no issues. I push the shaft through the shock body, then try hand threading the eyelet, still wont go.

Threads on the shaft like same to my eye

Loading the shaft into the drill. Same story, goes on a couple threads then no further.

Weird somthing must be wrong with the eyelets.

Dias 05-04-2012 07:31 PM

I was going to pull an eyelet off the other front shock, but its a moot point now.

The shock shaft I was dealing with fumbled through my less than nimble hands and bounced off the hardwood floor to parts unknown. :)

I may try the eyelets on the existing shock shaft that still here.

/shrug.

I can confirm the Turnigy Nano-Tech hard case packs fit fine.

Thinking of putting one of these in the 44.1 I just picked up. Would it be overkill? They make a 80amp version too. Im gonna be running either a 6.5 or 7.5 motor. My only worry is it looks big and from the looks of the 44 there is'nt a ton of room. What do you think.

The shock shaft is defective, the end of the threading is rounded off, therefore the thread never gets the bite it needs to start threading in.

Ordered new shafts and should fix the issue.

Just got one of these myself.

I'll hold it over the position my ESC is currently in my 44.1 and let you know.

Just guessing from having it in my hands, it should be fine.

Please do. I went a head and ordered one anyway. You can't beat the price and if it does'nt fit I will swap it with one of my RS pro's out of my Mod buggy or SC. They look just like the Hobbywing.

I'm fairly new to RC cars over a long long break. I took my time and read lots of info about Lipos, how to charge and care for them, etc. I've been running 3 Turnigy Nano-Tech hard case packs exclusively in my 2WD B4.1 for about 2 months now with mutiple trips per week; quite a bit of use. I've never had the packs get warm let alone anything you're showing / describing. Everyone can have different experiences, but I bought the Nano-Techs based upon what seemed to be a lot of favorable reviews on this site, and I've had nothing but positive experience with them as well.
