Hey can I get some pics of your wiring layouts? I am struggling, specifically with running the jumper wire on the saddle packs. I have the inputs to the rear of the car, but there is very little room with the carbon top plate in the way to run pack-pack. Do I just deal with it and cram them in there? :o

I don't have a pic, but I have my battery terminals up front. I got some 90 degree banana plugs and have the wire from the plugs come out toward the back. I loops over the top deck and lays down nicely.

1/2 oz ballast weight setup

I've had really good luck lately with my buggy running the softer AVID white rear spring with only 1/2 of weight in rear. The lighter weight and softer spring feels more planted and to me it lands better and is less likely to bounce up on a hard landing....the rear tends to stay behind the front and it's more stable.

I've posted my setup here (notes included on ballast weight setup at bottom):

Yup, 90deg plugs is key.

Cool thanks guys, I think I'm going to see if I can make something work, if not 90 deg it is.

thanks Blane!!! Where is the pack jumper wire? I don't even see it. Are you running that under the top plate too? I haven't soldered in my motor yet, but I was planning on running those wires over the top plate, for now. And I am connecting to the battery via Dean's, just in hopes of getting the thing on the track. I guess a lot of changes will be coming....

Thanks Coach, How would this setup work on a bumpy track? Alot of our tracks here in AUS are quite bumpy? I am currently running White rear springs with full Ballast.

For speed runs but stable temps....

Got the b44.1.
I do NOT RACE! Just play speed freaks runs everytime i play with my rc's!
But stable temps on the end of the li-po charge :) FAN's included, of course!

I am searching for something in the likes of ;

-Plettenberg
-Lehner LMT
-Neu

But those can handle 6s... which i believe for 7.4v will move not much for my likes!

My problem is the 7,4v sadle packs.... anyone tried 14.8v on this one?
BECAUSE THERE IS NO MORE VOLTAGE FOR THE B44/B44.1 on sadle packs then 7,4v, right?

and

ESC's:
-Tekin RSpro - Is about 100amps?
-Mamba Max Pro - Is about 80 amps?

Their manuals don't show the amps.... GRRRRRRR

I was thinking the tekin rx8 (200amps) but i guess it will not fit? to large... any photos?

I had my first race with my new 44.1. This was my first time ever driving a 4wd buggy. I got TQ and took 3rd (Popped off a ball cup half way through the main).:flaming: One thing I did'nt like was how easy the car was bottoming out (Chassis slapping). Im running something similar to Mayfeids WCRC set up but I still have stock springs 35/30 front and rear. Even landing smaller jumps it would hit. Is this normal? I guess I could go up in shock oil weight but the car feels so good I dont want it to change the way it handles. Its a blast to drive.

A lot of people i know run the JC chassis tape and it doe not slap. I run the under tray also and it slaps every now and than and i running the same oil. So if you want to reduce the slap i recommend you try the AE chassis tape or the JC Chassis tape. Enjoy:)
