You are saying yellow and white Kyosho springs correct? Is there any advantage to getting the Kyosho springs over the Losi's? I figure if I get close to the same spring rate I am good enough for my driving. :ha:

Yes kyosho , apparently they are the beez knees only problem is is they are pricy , unless you buy them directly from Japan and they are about $9 a pair.

Hey I'm changing my B4.1 springs to Losi 22's, looking to do the same on the B44.1. What springs are working good on the 4wd?

I'm using blue front, yellow rear. The only thing is I have not decided on the ballast weight between the lipos. I installed a new one and it seems a little rear end heavy, and then I remembered Maifield gave me a ballast weight a while back that was shaved down a bit. I will try that and see if it improves handling. I started with white rear springs with no weight and it seemed too soft. There was not enough dampening on a medium sized outdoor track. I went to yellow in the rear but need to find the right balance with the added ballast weight.

So depending on the track, it will be blue front/yellow rear, or green front, yellow rear.

For losi springs if you get blue/green front and yellow/white rear you're covered.

The weight maifield gave ya is shaved bc the reedy saddle Pack is super heavy. The standard ballast out of the package is perfect for the prion LIPO though.

I have since went to coaches suggestion of just using 1/2 oz between the cells and a softer rear spring. I'm loving it.

Ah Ha! I am using the Reedy pack and had the full weight in there. So your saying white springs with a 1/2 ounce is all you need? What piston/oil combo are you using? Indoor or outdoor track? I am on my way over to an indoor track to play with some set ups. I'll see how it goes....

I'd flip your batteries around so your wires from your ESC to the saddle packs are as short as possible.

And make sure there is no side to side wiggle play at all on both front/rear gearbox outdrives or you're going to be stripping gears before long.

Good luck!

Losi big bore springs are fantastic on the 44.1. Really happy. I ran on a 17 second indoor track. Blue front, #2 piston 35wt losi oil, yellow rear, 32.5 losi oil #1 piston, with full ballast weight and a reedy pack. Very controllable, soaked up the landings with no bounce or slap, and most importantly, no breakage of arms or front shock shafts. Took some hard landings with the nose down, no problem.

Thats how i run my wires to the battery. Keeps them clear of the center shaft.

When i switched to a shorty pack in my b4.1 i shortened the wires by 1 1/2 inches and noticed no difference in power or run times.
