"Post 2969. Read it!" "Hope that helps! Remember i got 12mm hex all over!" Nope. That doesn't help one bit. I was looking for information on what parts you may have used to convert the front the 12mm hex and what offset of touring car wheels you used to clear the steering knuckles and caster blocks. BCBUD....thanks for the link.....I will give those a try and possibly buy a few sets of different offset tc wheels and see what works. |
Well for the 12mm hex it's a 12mm hex from jconcepts... it's almost equal to the one on that photo that shows the rear one...

One tire blew up.. http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/b...ps1e9b133a.jpg http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/b...ps1f606ed5.jpg -And i glued it together... http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/b...psdec3349f.jpg -The wing i decided to revive it, glued some parts with tire glue and clean it, and paint it to the color of the car... http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/b...ps3fb79864.jpg http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/b...psec3595b5.jpg http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/b...ps2610da3d.jpg -Seems like new, before even the varnsih coat! I have to recycle and if it's good enough why buy new one? :) |
Since working on it, why not a full out pimp?

Now that the d413 from hpi is born, and can take baterys that are not sadle packs i can go 4s! yeahhhh. Remember i do not race! :) |
^^ you need to stop messing with 1/10 buggies and move up to 1/8 buggies if you are after 4s power. 4s in a 1/10 buggy will destroy every last bit of drivetrain parts, no matter what brand it is lol.

We now have some ball bearing racks for the B44..

I got one 1/16 buggy with 3 diff's and runs 4s fine! All aftermaketed :D
And want more speed out of it.... Tires are hpi rally and last a lifetime. Dogbones and outdrives i put heatshrink on them and they are like new after a year drving like this... And a 1/14 buggy with 3s right now... but i am building a 1/14 truggy right now with 4s....
-With the LOSI upgrade outdrives i am driving this over an year and they do not wear out any bit! Stock dogbones are fine yet....Tires are very long lasting this ones... So my 1/10 is 2s?? grrrrrrrrr to slow :sneaky: (it's a great handlig car the b44.1 but 2s?? That's for racers, where coming out the turns slow is the win win). DO not want a TC car. They just flip on every chip/dirt/hole that find on the asphalt/roads i can run rc's! One point i have to say is that i do not put these cars on dirt! Only concrete or asphalt speed runs till batery drys! And clean them after each run. And i can say i am not the only one that drives RC's like that, and know for sure that 1/10 buggy were made for track racers... as those 1/16 or 1/14 for indoor tracks! :) 1/8 buggys only will se 5s 6s and 8s on me! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JUKRJ5mMdU
1/5 buggy or SCT minimum 10s, accpetable 12s
Only for the speed and torque or go home :flaming: |

Hi all,
I've had my B44.1 for a while now, and have been running rear 87g rear ballast weight. Just recently drove a couple of other 4WD buggies and the biggest difference I found was the other 4WDs were much lighter, made my B44.1 feel very heavy and sluggish. I weighed my buggy and it came to 1827g. Quite heavy considering the minimum legal weight is 1600g. I have since tried to reduce weight...removed the ballast weight and replaced the undertray with jcons chassis protector. Managed to bring the weight down to 1718g. My question, does every one run the ballast weight? If not, how do you find the buggy handles without it? I generally run on a semi loose track, but haven't tested it out yet. Feedback would be helpful. Cheers |
Trying to drift with the b44.1
After the drift video, a video doing speed runs!
(all the good things those buggys weren't made for, right?) :D |

Figure it out how to change timing in the 5.5T Speed Passion V3 motor.
Need to remove/back a little the front screw's then rotate the sensor and that's it... Let's try it now...it was on the middle and i set it to 0º. I hope to have no heat now! Being happy with this motor except for heat on summer days! http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/b...psmpnjwb9j.jpg http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/b...pse6yhglhp.jpg -This is such a good RC. There is the 44.2 and the 44.3 and there will be a 44.4 and a 44.5 and so on!! This thread was dead since 44.2 come out... most people in this hobby want all the new stuff...but if you are patiente you can buy almost new stuff like this in a 2 years round for less the 1/4 of the price. So happy with it! |
