how do you guys set the slipper clutch on this? I was told about a half inch gap.

I set mine on the bench by holding the rear wheels and giving it throttle. I adjust the slipper so the front tires raise 1/2 - 1 inch. I race on med to high bite tracks. :)

You don't need the white spacers. Just sand the black ones down to the white size. I actually have always sanded the white spacers down to 3.5mm and chamfered the inner egde a little with a countersink.

Got the kit to convert my v2 b4 shocks to bladder style yesterday
It has small and larger foam pads in there which i assume are to fit inside the bladder in the cap.
Are these useful and what would i expect to feel using these vs without?

The Foam is so you can set the rebound to more or less.

Thanks X:)
Do they make a lot of difference between the small large and without or is it only a little fine tuning it does.

What parts are needed to run the Losi 22 springs on the 44.1?

I only tried it for a couple of weeks. But I set mine to a 50% rebound. What was interesting is if I pumped it up it would suck back in as mush as it pushed out. You will have a little better chance at eliminating chassis slap from over shooting the jumps to. Its a great tuning option. I would recommend trying it on a practice day. You will want to try some oil combos and spring combos. The reason I tried it was it allows you to run the aluminum caps cause your bleeder caps wont be an option. I personally liked it when the track was dry. Or track is wet, so it was just to responsive.
Note it may have been my error but a cap blew off on me once. 100% was way to much I think.

Here's a bleeder cap tip that I do. Before I plunge the shaft to pump the air out, I put the spring cup on then pump the air out. The shock shaft will never push further than that anyway.

BTW looking back. If you hold both options in your hand hand pump them, the difference is very visible and the feel is very noticeable.

Same parts needed to run them on the B4.1

I'll post the numbers
Losi 22 front and rear springs
Traxxas upper collars #3768, You will need two of them
Losi lower cups #TLR5095 need 1 of them

I have a 6.5 T in my B44. I raced it today a medium sized track and it was getting hot around 185 degrees with Losi system. What gearing are you guys running?

According to the Associated website, those shock upgrade kits are for TC3, TC4 and 10L4 Oval shocks. How do they fit on the B44 shocks?

That's correct. These were made for the on-road shocks and have been around for years. However the bore and thread size are still the same size as the newer V2 offroad shocks so some guys still use them. I have not tried them... I highly doubt it will be a magical difference. It's just driver preference...

6.5 is a bit much motor for any indoor track... We run 19 or 20 with an 81 spur gear with a 7.5 motor.
